Diamond in the rough. This Hotel is a GREAT STAY!

I absolutely loved this Hotel! It was a pleasure to stay here. The front desk receptionist Latonya made me feel very welcomed and appreciated as a guest. They even had hot breakfast. Definitely gonna make this a top hotel to stay at on my list.

If you want to sleep, go to this hotel.

Hotel was great all the way around. Sleep Inn is a perfect name for the hotel because the feather down comforter, the medium soft bed, the pillows were a comparison to feather down pillows, very, very fluffy.Four pillows per bed. Amazing sleep.

I would recommend sleep inn suites to anyone the staff is great the hotel is very clean newly remodeled Stacy, LaTanya, Mamtha are all very friendly helpful and caring staff!! The staff make sure that you're comfortable and if there's anything that you need they try to do their best to accommodate you.

Breakfast the pancake mix for the waffle machine was spoiled. The fire alarms were chirping all night. There was hair all over the shower. There were people smoking in the hallway. This was probably the worst hotel stay I’ve ever stayed at.

The only nice thing about this place was the staff. In our room, there was a small rust colored stain on the bedspread typical of bed bugs and I had a bite on torso. The shower curtain was heavily stained and the bedside tables were not wiped clean. The next AM there were large ants on the breakfast counter. And the food was old. Also, from the hotel's rewards program, I got a phone call to visit a timeshare demo afterward. Staying away from this place and this brand.

Within the first 10 minutes of being in the first room a cockroach crawled on the bed. There were rust marks all over and water damage on the ceiling. Crumbs were all over the floor and things previous guests had left remained on the floor. The room was clearly not cleaned. Thankfully they allowed us to switch rooms; however, this room had just as much water damage and the light was barely hanging onto the wall. Listing pictures need to be updated.

Our first clue that this was going to be a poor experience is that our room number was literally written on the wall outside our room with red sharpie. I'm not kidding. When we walked in to the building just prior to getting to our room, the stairs leading to the second floor were stripped down to glue on old wooden steps and there was a caution tape ripped and hanging from both posts. I could have gotten past that, but the sharpie room number clinched it. I do have to say, staff immediately offered us another room and while it didn't smell like smoke, it definitely still smelled old and stuffy. We had paid for a room with a king bed and the replacement was only a queen. But staff was friendly and like I said, they offered a new room right away. Overall, would not go back, though. Not worth the $120, sadly.

Avoid This Hotel Until Construction Is Complete This was an extremely disappointing stay. The hotel is undergoing extensive construction, and it felt like we were staying in an active construction zone rather than a hotel. There were construction workers and contractors in the parking lot playing loud music and had a table set up outside with bottles of alcohol. Rolls of carpet rolled up throughout the hallways and equipment blocking or filling the walkways, and dust everywhere. To make matters worse, the first room the tv did not work. I called the front desk where I was told he would personally come down try to fix it. We waited 20 minutes, until I decided to go back to the front desk and ask for a different room. The attendant gave us a new room and when we got to the room and turned on the light the were roaches crawling on the desk top. At that point I lost it and asked to cancel and receive a full refund, which I have to wait 7 business days for. The hotel should not be accepting guests without clearly warning them about the extent of the construction and the services that are unavailable. I would strongly recommend asking about the construction and which amenities are available before booking. In its current condition, this hotel is not providing the experience guests are paying for.

My family and I stayed here after being displaced from the storms affecting Northwest Indiana. Both my husband and I work remote, so we were grateful that there was plenty of space where we could spread out and work. The beds were comfortable, and there was lots of space for our large dog, Braxton, to run around. The free continental breakfast was adequate, with lots of space to sit. Unfortunately, they are still working on the building so we could hear knocking above us during the day but it was a small price to pay for a friendly stay. My only real complaint is that the soap provided was really small, lol. But overall, we would definitely stay there again.

We shouldn’t use terrible but nightmare or horrible to describe our 4 nights stay there. Everything in the hotel is stinky, including the carpet, breakfast( they couldn’t start breakfast according to their promised schedule), facility(the bathroom has disgusting smells; the towels are not very clean and smelly) and environment (a lot smoking just in front of the entrance and not easy to find the entrance because it’s inside a factory compound with some trucks every where) around it. And the workers are doing innovation from early morning till 10:30pm and the manager said he can’t do with it and can only change a room for us whose bathroom is out of use because the drainage has big problems. He promised to get some discount for me when we check out but he disappeared the next morning and the other staff had no idea about his promise!

My room was clean which was awesome, however there is a stinch in those long hallways that made my stay less awesome. The remodeling they are working on is not complete so those carpets need to be pulled immediately. Very reasonably priced which explains why there were all kinds of people there from all walks of life. A little sketchy! I did appreciate the hot breakfast and the pool amenities.

Property is not very clean, coffee was pretty much see through. The breakfast was terrible as far as options and how the food looked. There was what looked like mold in our room - and water leaking all over in the halls and stuff. Beds were great, but they don’t clean out trash and things daily.

This hotel is still under construction while the room we were given was clean and pretty nice. The bed was hard. The television did not work. We went to the office, but it was never fixed when we got there. We were charged $100 deposit and and it was not refunded that they said we smoked me and my boyfriend don’t even smoke. They kept our deposit refused to give it back so don’t stay at this hotel in Merrillville. There are many other nicer friendlier hotels in the area.
