Great stay in Metz

Great to have Dutch speaking at reception desk. Good breakfast. Hotel is located is nice green area, five minutes walk from city center. Close to highway exit as well. Would recommend this hotel.

Really lovely hotel. Modern and well designed interior , high quality tasteful furnishings and decor. Very comfortable room with bright, very spacious bathroom. Our room was in the annex across the street from the main building and was a bit dark due to just one very small window but overall design with skylight and mirrors helped . Our room was not ready until an hour After check in time but management provided a complimentary glass of wine and beer in their lovely courtyard, which was appreciated. We really liked this hotel .

We enjoyed our brief stay at La Citadelle. The hotel is very well situated in Metz within easy walking distance to the lively town. Our room was totally quiet and relaxing, well equipped and well lit. This was our second stay in this hotel and if we return to Metz we will stay here again.

Perfect spot in Metz between old town and new. Very walkable. Beautiful grounds. Only complaint was AC. Called down to front, but still unable to cool. Thankfully it was a pleasant night so we could open a window. Gave great recommendations on dinner and a coffee shop in AM.

Very nice hotel located in historical area. Short walking distance to Cathedral and other places of interest. Our room was very spacious and clean. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. We also had a dinner in the hotel’s restaurant and it was excellent. Food was very delicious. Will definitely stop in this hotel again.

Hospitality done wrong

30° heat and manager came to move us from outside on the patio area as we “were not eating and is only for food”. No one else was there, it was a completely ridiculous conversation and demonstrated a lack of welcoming guests. We left and had beer in the square, won’t be back.
