Pleasant stay at high rise apartment in CDMX

Great apartment. Great location!

Marco’s place was great. Super comfortable with everything we needed. Location was great. Could walk everywhere or Uber if farther than we wanted to walk. The nearby square was wonderful. Fresh cut mango, great people watching, and terrific restaurants. Nights were beautifully cool and the apartment has fantastic breezes.

Nice location - Rough & Loud Rental

The location was nice unfortunately the unit did not have AC which you might argue you don't need in mexico city due to the temperate weather, that may be the case if you have adequate windows - this unit is on the 15th floor and has only 2 very narrow windows that do not fully ventilate the 2 story loft. The temperature was often 70 outside and 90 inside the unit. The air conditioner provided didn't work to cool the room and the bed is upstairs where the temperature is the hottest. We found having the front door and both small windows open helped somewhat. The interior of the unit looks nice from afar, up close it is very beat up. The water filter under the sink has a 2022 date on it. The noise from the bars at street level goes until 4am some nights, made worse by the fact you need the windows open. The hot water tank is SMALL so your showers are limited. The washer/dryer is a combo unit so a small load takes around 4 hours to wash and dry. The flooring is really rough. The bathroom has loose caulking, flaking paint from drywall IN THE SHOWER. The unit needs more towels and a bathroom rug. The bathroom is not entirely enclosed, it is open in part to the stairwell up with no door to close leaving for loud bathroom noises. The building location is nice amenities are OK. There is a neighbor that had a barking dog.

The apartment was very spacious and having a full kitchen was nice. The things I didn’t like: 1) Reservation for 2 adults for 5 days and was only provided 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. When I asked the first day for additional towels, they said sure! It took 3 days and repeated requests to finally receive additional towels on the 3rd day. 2) The pillows on the bed were king pillows but had queen pillowcases. 3) The room has very large windows so the apartment would get hot during the day. There was a portable AC but the exhaust tube was broken. The AC was still not sufficient to accommodate the apartment size so it was quite warm during the day and evening even with the window blinds closed all day. 3) The room lighting was not good and there were numerous lightbulbs missing or broken in the fixtures. 4) There was a gym available but you had to make an appointment to access it even though there was no one in the gym. That is why I rated the apartment a 3. I probably would not have written a review if I received the towels I needed.
