Beach vacation
Well our beach vacation was ruined because of the weather, but luckily we had a pinball machine and a hot tub to keep us busy. Everything was as described. I would only say the bathroom is very small and hard to maneuver in to get ready. We are fairly small people so if you are big and tall the bathroom may be an issue for you.

Couldn't see Lake Michigan
The reason I booked this efficiency was because of the location. I wanted to walk down and see Lake Michigan in the winter. With the snow we had, there was no way to even get a view of it. The good thing is we were able to drive a mile away and go right down to the lake. It was beautiful.

Great Tiny home!
The place was isolated for perfect privacy for a couple and was a short walk to the beach! Would be perfect for a couples getaway. The owner was accommodating and everything was as described! Soda fountain and pinball machine give it a very unique feel. Enjoyed the trip and place.

Perfect getaway
Very cute little cottage! Exactly as listed, everything worked. Massage chair and hot tub are perfect! Exactly what we needed. Lengthy instruction email was appreciated detailing exactly where to park and how to get it, where the hot tub was located and how to work the lights and heat.

Weekend at the beach
Great little property on the beach(short walk, but only sand dunes and trees between property and the beach). We loved the hot tub and bikes available on the property. Will definitely stay there again!

Tiny, but who cares! There is so many cool things to do at this spot! Hosts were great and accommodated our special requests. Can't beat the 3 minute walk to the beach. And yea, now I want a pinball machine. Great place. 10/10 would stay again.

Great place on Lake Michigan
Everything was as described. A cute cottage with a sandy pathway to the beach. It was perfect for what we wanted. We would certainly stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Michigan. Loved it!!!!

Quaint beach cottage
Property was clean. Not really at the edge of a wilderness area but there was nice landscaping. Great walking path to beach. Surrounded by beach houses. Small space but organized well. We walked to restaurants, a great little Washington Park zoo, and Shoreline brewery. We didn't use hot tub but pinball machine and massage chair worked well. Small deck with grill but made private with plants.

Great Beach Cottage!
Property was exactly how it was described. Check-in/out was really smooth and the host encouraged me to contact him with any issues. The location was excellent and just what we wanted-beach access!! Kayaks looked really nice, but we just chose not to use them. The hot tub was perfect and the two bikes we used worked great! The cottage worked great for the two of us and the space was well maximized. Everything worked as expected: tv, pinball machine, AC, and massage chair. We didn’t play the videogames or use the grill (which looked very nice!). The parking is tight but we drove a smaller vehicle so we had no issues. We appreciated the extra attention to details with the coffee grinder, keurig, and coffee pot along with condiment packets and basic toiletries. I forgot to pack a few items and was pleasantly surprised to find what I needed already there. I most appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage overall. Will absolutely plan on rebooking this property again.

Little Get Away
After a long week of stress, me and the wife wanted a little get away. We loved the hot tub and easy access to the lake for walk on the beach. Not to mention a simple drive to downtown to delicious food and brewery. And we absolutely loved the pinball machine as we kept having competitions to see who could score higher. Highly recommend

Nice,but small.
It was a nice few days with my wife. The beach was great and beautiful. It was located close to a lot of things. The bikes were old and not able to be used. The hot tube was new and clean. The parking is real tight so a small car or truck is probably a good idea. Overall it was a nice little place to stay for 2 people.

The bikes are not brand new but, they do work. A bike mechanic goes through all of them every spring & repairs them if needed. I would assume that you did not try any of the 6 bikes.

Best getaway
This was a great little place. Nothing fancy. Just a quiet little spot close to everything. Loved loved the pinball machine. My only regret is we didn't stay longer. Definitely will be back.

Fun beach house for two
Had a wonderful weekend with my partner at this beach house! Spent our time skipping rocks on the lake and checking out the town during the day, and taking turns playing pinball and sitting in the massage chair at night. It’s a short distance from plenty of fun places and nice restaurants to check out.

Fantastic getaway!
I stayed 2 nights and had such a great time! As other reviews say, it is private *not secluded*. It was exactly what was expected after reading the description. All I needed was a place to relax and this was definitely it! I had no issues getting to the beach, or using the hot tub. You are directly next to people, but I never even saw them. I would've stayed all week if I had the time. Perfect spot for 1 or 2 people!!!

Hidden gem!
I was expecting a much smaller place with less amenities. This place has everything you could want! It is a walk up so if you don’t like stairs that would be the only drawback, but I loved it!

Not the best experience, not recommended.
I really wanted to write a positive review as the location was perfect, unfortunately the property was in a state of disrepair and the owner was less than hospitable. We called the owner the morning prior to leaving to ensure everything was good, when we spoke at this time he did not mention anything wrong with the property and requested we call once we arrived in Michigan City. Once we arrived, he informed us that the original property had a water problem due to recent weather and he was “upgrading us to a much better room on the property”, it’s important to note he stated that he didn’t want to tell us when we called earlier because “he’s been doing this for a while and didn’t want us to cancel without seeing the upgrade.” We found this to be duplicitous and would have preferred honesty. When speaking to the owner he talked over us and we found him to be dismissive towards our concerns about switching us out in the manner he did. The upgrade was substantially larger but was not clean or safe. There were at least 3 feral cats in front of the property with random food bowls strewn about the entrance, a problem as my fiancé is severely allergic. Upon entering the property there was a pinball machine partially blocking the front door. We thought perhaps it was a temporary placement but noted there were doorstops set up to prevent damage to the door and machine, indicating it was permanent. There was a room that looked to be designed for children with bunk beds, video games…and a portable steam room. While our children were not with us we would have had a hard time allowing children to stay in a room with a steam room. There was a lovely view of lake MI from the second story patio, however, sections of the guardrail were missing with tape and plastic up. There was an inoperable hot tub on the patio with the entire back panel missing and exposed wires. Directly underneath the patio there was a dilapidated dog pen riddled with fecal matter. The hot tub we were directed to use was next to the parking lot in front of the property, we noted the cats sleeping on and around it, so we were not able to use it. The front yard was poorly lit and we had to use our phone flashlights to get up the stairs and around all the substantial clutter. We took pictures of the items in disrepair as we were concerned about future renters. The property is not maintained well and the owner is not pleasant, we do not recommend at all.

I was on a road trip and stayed for one night. I can imagine it would be much more fun in the summer but they certainly had all of the amenities and were great at communicating as I couldn't figure out the parking at first. Thanks guys.

Nice getaway
I found the process to check in very easy. Accommodations were nice. I'm a bigger guy so it was a little cramped... especially the bathroom. But that was expected. Parking was tough was asked to move my vehicle several times over the weekend. I understand winter at the lake house is off season and the time to do property maintenance but I feel the owner should take the property off market while maintenance is being done. All in all... great location, nice amenities and had a great stay.

We had plenty to do
I thought it was a bit creepy the owner and other guys were hanging around the entire time we were there. It was creepy of owner to ask me what time I was coming back, when we left to go check out the area. I heard the owner cursing at one of the guys. The hot tub was very old and stunk, hence why we didn’t use it. The steam room was a joke. The ceiling fan had not been cleaned in a long time and other areas could have been cleaner. Parking was less than average. I won’t be renting this property again. Overall, my grandson and I had a good time

Yurt shaped Tiny house
This tiny yurt was plenty of space for 2. At this price point and on Lake Michigan, it's something special! We stayed in early fall with temperatures in the upper 50s. The 3 minute walk through the wilderness, along the lake, was breathtaking! We counted 13 silhouette buildings across the lake in Chicago. Sunset was phenomenal! Taking in the expanse of it all, priceless! The hot tub is private, but not completely secluded. The yurt has everything you need and they are open to your suggestions! Everything we came to see and do was within a mile or two. There are larger accommodations on the same property. There is a 3 story with a few different options. This yurt was once their 4th story!

Parking is at the dead end of a small road; which is the tradeoff to be surrounded by wilderness on 2 sides. Only; that you have to know how to reverse; to drive out.

Cottage pros and cons
It really is meant for just two people, they aren't kidding. A few suggestions would be for them to get a better bed. It is a sofa bed and not a very good one. The hot tub was off by itself but I wouldn't really say private. We never got in so I can't contest to the quality. Parking is tight. For the money overall it was worth it. The location is great, the beach access is easy and not even 3 min away from the cottage. The grounds keeper was friendly and trying to make sure we had what we needed. Other than that we didn't see him.

Things are not what they seem
This place looked cool in the picture and it was close to the beach but I wouldn't recommend anything else about it. It was a tiny house but had tons of stuff plied on the porch. couch bed was terribly uncomfortable. It was clean enough but not sterile in any sense and the owner hung out on the porch for 30 minutes after we arrived putting his boat stuff away. Parking was very limited and we didn't even look at the hot tub after seeing it's surroundings. Again if its about location it is great. We would definitely stay in a hotel or anywhere else next time.

Very Relaxing and Beautiful private beach area
We had a wonderful visit many things to do and enjoy. Go to the Church Brewery !! Was so awesome. Casino's galore to choose from. This was our Honeymoon and perfect for 2 - loved the older style cottage - and we had the most wonderful time relaxing on the beach in privacy !! Enjoy your stay when you go!

Nice cozy rental
This was a cozy rental with plenty of extras. The hot tub is great and it's a short walk to a beautiful beach. The sofa bed could be better, it wasn't very comfortable, but that was being repaired the day we left.
