"Casino Table Games Pit Staff were super nice and acknowledge my birthday when I checked-in with my players card before playing. I even recceived a comp buffet when I requested one since it was my birthday. I had never ever received a comp from a pit boss (manager) before so it made my day."

Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor

"We stayed at the Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor for 3 nights during our daughter’s University of Michigan graduation. The location was excellent and ideal for commencement weekend. The decor was charming and very much in the university spirit, and the staff’s enthusiasm for the graduates was genuinely touching. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to the stadium for the first ceremony, and upon returning, graduates were welcomed with cheering and pom-poms, which made the experience feel special. However, there were several disappointing aspects to our stay. While I understand that rates increase during graduation weekend, the pricing felt excessive, at several times the normal rate before and after the event. Unfortunately, the quality and service did not justify the price. The rooms and common areas felt basic, and housekeeping was inconsistent. On some days, even the trash bins were not emptied. Communication through the Expedia platform was non-existent despite messages sent in advance. We had requested an earlier check-in due to a long flight from Europe, but not only was this unavailable, our room was not ready at the official 4:00 PM check-in time. After waiting until 5:15 PM, we left and returned at 7:30 PM to finally check in. Overall, excellent location and graduation atmosphere, but disappointing service and poor value for money."

Grand Beach Resort Hotel

"Room and property were clean and staff extremely helpful, very welcoming and friendly. Pricing for our room not facing the beach made it a terrific value. Breakfast, one of 4-5 options of various packaged foods, which was OK if unremarkable, was delivered to your room door in the AM, which was nice. Overall: great value on a nice stay!"

MGM Grand Detroit

"We arrived to check-in prior to the Bruno Mars concert, and only 2 receptionists were working at the four computers available. Although, we were second in line, people who were MGM premium members were able to move to the front of the line and check-in first, resulting in 10 groups being moved in front of us. Finding out what time breakfast/brunch is was near impossible to find for hotel guests (8 AM to 11 AM). Much more energy is spent on casino guests, and not the hotel guests who aren’t members."

"We stay at this hotel every year for a girls’ soccer tournament, and the main reason we continue choosing this property is the outdoor heated pool area. The girls love being able to swim & do s'mores while the parents relax outside around the fire tables and cabanas. It’s honestly the feature that justifies the higher room rates for us year after year. Unfortunately, this stay was very different from past experiences. Outdoor seating was limited, the cabanas were closed off, the outdoor fire features were not available, and the pool closed at 8:00 PM for adult swim. I even spoke with the front desk to ask whether the cabanas could be opened since they appeared fully intact and not under repair, but I was told they were closed due to the transition to the summer setup. Had we known these amenities would not be available, we likely would have chosen a different hotel at a lower price point. Additionally, our room stayed around 72 degrees and felt very stuffy the entire stay. We were unable to get the temperature lower. Maintenance did come to the room, but the only solution offered was a box fan, which unfortunately didn’t resolve the issue. All that said, this is still a charming hotel in a great location, and we’ve genuinely enjoyed our stays in previous years. This visit, however, did not reflect the experience we’ve come to expect, especially considering the cost was approximately $1,000 for two nights."
