30 Rockefeller Plaza is an Art Deco skyscraper in the middle of Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan. At 850 feet (260 m) high, the 70-story building is the 14th tallest in New York City and is a great place for capturing views at sunset (especially because it offers views of the Empire State Building). To get this shot, head to the top of Rockefeller Center, known as "Top of the Rock." The entrance is on W 50th St between 5th and 6th Avenues. Tickets can be purchased on the basement level of building. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance in order to make your way to the top by sunset (the entry system is timed). Also allot time for a security screening and wait times at the elevator. Once you arrive at the observation deck take the escalator to the upper levels where your views won't be impeded by the glass windscreens. Tripods are not allowed (although monopods are allowed), but you can rest your camera on the stone barriers of the upper observation deck. This is an image from back in September when I was in upstate New York visiting family. This image is of Rainbow Falls in the Watkins Glen State Park near Ithaca. It is a very popular location - tourists throng here in their hundreds to walk the various trails. As such, best advised to visit very early in the mornings. Preferably start while it's still dark. The gorge that runs along the park is extremely beautiful. At one point in time, this area was all under water and the gorge has been formed as a result of erosion of the softer layers of soil and rock. Even today, the gorge is ever changing due to the action of water. There's loads of compositions possible all along the trail but Rainbow Falls is perhaps the most well known and most photographed location in the gorge. This location truly is stunning - you have to see it with your own eyes to take in the beauty of the place. The cascading waterfall, the stone bridges, the varying colors of the water due to the reflections from the canyon walls - it all adds up to make this a truly remarkable place. Watkins Glen also used to have a street circuit for Formula 1 races. The roads are lined with flags to mark the course. In addition there's the marina and many good eating joints around town. Ithaca and Cornell are close by too. Owing to where I was staying, I had to start driving at 3 AM to make it to this place before the crowds descended. At the end of it, it was well worth it. 早機到。詢問能否提早入住時其中一位前台態度很差。 酒店那幾天有大型會議。非常擁擠。乘電梯要等10分鐘。 寄了快遞請酒店代收。包裹不知所終。員工也一直推卸責任。直到我退房那一天才找到但對我來說已經太晚了。
