The room was cozy and clean, the breakfast was amazing for a continental breakfast, plenty to eat and a good breakfast food variety. Lots of places to sit and relax in the inn too. Very homey and quiet.

First off the Essenhaus was more affordable than many other hotels in the area & it was Labor Day weekend. The hotel was spotless & had all the amenities we needed! The continental breakfast is much better than most similar hotels. Our beds were comfortable & will definitely stay again!

We stayed for one night and had a great experience. The staff was helpful and kind, the property clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was delicious. We loved the atrium space, and the little covered porch area. We had a great stay.

The Essenhaus Inn is an amazing gem in rural Indiana. The facilities are creatively homey and relaxing. The room was well decorated and clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful. With lots of options, the breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that we were there for just one night.

We have always appreciated this property for its values and its cleanliness. The grounds are beautiful and the common areas are simply exquisite. Thoughtful touches including coffee stations and restrooms are everywhere. Maybe not magical like it was years ago but still a special experience overall.
