Check in was easy ! Property was beautiful. The organic garden was great!! . It did border a small airport which wasn’t mentioned and not everyone enjoyed the busy plane traffic . Easy access to Madison . The house was clean & quaint but could use updating. We had issue with refrigerator door alert going off randomly (even at sleeping hours) even though it was closed . Also, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night - every 15 minutes for an hour. The owner is going to check out electric.

Beautiful Spacious Countryside Home

Very nice, clean, and spacious home on the countryside. We enjoyed the firepit outside and the house is close to a local (small) airport landing strip. Very fun to watch the small Cessna-like planes land and take off. We were able to sleep 9 in 3 bedrooms and a pull out futon as there was room in the bedrooms to have an extra (air) mattress. The only concern was that the dining room table picture on the website shows an 8 top but it is actually a new table with a 6 top, but we managed as they have a beautiful deck with a large picnic table that seats several people.

Great Stay Close to Madison!

We had a peaceful stay at Joan's place. Her home was in a beautiful, quiet rural location yet close to downtown Madison and it's surrounding suburbs. The home was clean and had lots of space (we brought our dogs along too.) Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and the yard was perfect for walking our dogs.

Best of Everything

The house was just perfect for our long weekend in the Madison area. The property is on the edge of the farms and still close to all the restaurants and things to do. Having a nice big yard to enjoy really made it for our dog as well. Such a relaxing getaway! We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect home and host - would return!

The home was so comfortable and well stocked. Joan was accessible and responsive for any questions. The setting is beautiful, and very accessible to Madison. I highly recommend, and would return.

Beautiful home - close to everything!

I couldn't recommend this lovely home more highly. My whole family stayed here for a mini-reunion before my son moved away, and it was the perfect family base. The host was extremely (but unobtrusively) responsive; the home was incredibly well-supplied (the kitchen especially has about everything you could ask for, including basics like flour, sugar, spices, etc.); although it's in a countryside setting, it's minutes from everything you might want. It's just full of thoughtful details that made our stay delightful. And the beds are very comfortable! I'll be back!

Quiet Stay in the Country

My husband and I were in Madison for a dog show. We like to find properties that have yards for the dogs to run in. Although this yard is not fenced it is excellent for dogs and humans. Plenty of space. The house is a good size with lots of light. The two bathrooms were perfect and the kitchen had the most utensils and dishware I have ever seen in a short term rental. It is in the country but very close to everything you need. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable. Stay here!

Enjoyed our stay

We traveled with our teen sons and dog for skiing and a basketball game. The location was convenient for all our plans. We all had plenty of space in this comfortable and clean home.

Secluded but Close to Everything

We enjoyed having lots of room to spread out with space to gather be also have privacy for our group. Very quiet, rural setting but just minutes away from Madison and many activities.

Country setting with easy access to everything

We had a lovely stay at this Middleton home. Hosts Steve and Joan are responsive and helpful. Warm and welcoming, the home is spotless, beds are comfortable and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

Felt like home

My husband, my 21 year old dtr and I were in Wisconsin to visit multiple family members and friends in the Madison area. This house had plenty of room, it had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Joan even gave us fresh produce from her garden! The views of the rolling fields are beautiful and we felt like we were out in the country, yet we were only 10 minutes from a large grocery store and 20 minutes from most family.

3 night stay in Middleton

This property was great. Our kids had a lot of fun playing inside and outside, and kids enjoyed some cucumbers in the owners' beautiful garden. This is certainly on the outskirts of Middleton, but it was an easy drive into Madison for activities.

Peaceful surroundings and cute house

My husband and I and our 3 adult children really enjoyed this property. The house was very clean and plenty of room for the 5 of us. It was so peaceful looking out into the field of green. We enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit in the backyard by the field. It is close to Madison too. There are lots of places to go hiking and enjoy nature around Middleton. The town was upscale and nice restaurants to eat. The owner was available at anytime if you needed to contact her and she even brought us some zucchini from the garden on the property. We recommend this cute farm house!

Fabulous!

What a wonderful place to stay! The house was very roomy and comfortable and it was great to be in the middle of farmland. Joan, the host was really nice and came by to welcome me and ensure I didn’t have any questions. I thought that I would spend a lot of time in Madison but there were so many great places close by to hike that we barely went. Also the town of Middleton that was close had a great food coop, coffee shops and restaurants. The countryside was beautiful with lots of old farmhouses and dairies. I would definitely come again and really recommend staying at this house if you like peaceful country living with all the amenities of city life.
