“If you want to see what it’s like to live in the great city of Edinburgh when you visit, then this top floor flat near the Meadows is ideal. We enjoyed the proximity to the tourist aspects while enjoying the neighbourhood amenities (coffee shops, best fish and chips, groceries, close bus stops, good restaurants nearby). The flat is nicely furnished with very firm beds and the bonus of sinks in some bedrooms. Room darkening blinds were appreciated as it was light very late and early morning……

“The photos on the ad looked nice and the amenities sounded good but we were disappointed to find green mold in the coffee maker and black slime in the washing machine; an intermittently functional microwave and an ineffective clothes dryer with a door that popped open when we tried to use it and a panel in the bottom that wouldn't stay on. The kitchen was inadequately provisioned: there were no usable knives to cut vegetables and we had to buy a pot to cook pasta. The cutlery was oily, needing a……

“Really good location, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, 10 minute walk into the centre. 3 bedrooms, with 4 double beds. Comfortable and plenty of towels etc. Spent 3 days here and all in all was great for the price.”

“It was comfortable and well equipped. It was generally clean but not deep cleaned. Example: the shower drained slowly and the drain not cleaned properly; kitchen washing up brushes needed replacing; the outside of the windows were not clean. Location ideal for Holyrood park and the Royal mile. Kitchen was well equipped for self catering. Area was quiet and no noise from the apartment block which was a small block. The apartment is opposite the railway line which wasn't a problem for us but maybe……
