"Very nice and clean hotel"

"The room was clean and comfortable. There was a comfy chair, a desk area with chair and an extra blanket. The staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was not continental, but a full hot breakfast with sausage, eggs, tater tots and waffles. There was a lovely stone bar, and a decent dinner menu. The pool was popular. Many comfortable places to sit downstairs. Good parking."

"So I know years ago the area was torn apart by a tornado. They have rebuilt a new hotel attached to the water park itself but we stayed in what was the original building. The Splash pad/Waterpark itself was amazing! My only issues was the snack shack was closed and they only had 1 lifeguard on duty in the entire thing and they were folding towels. If tou wanted a locker you had to leave and go buy one from the gift shop and have the lifeguard on duty unlock it. The arcade was basically broken. None of the games worked and the ones that did were not as great. You got bored pretty quickly. The room itself was like a snapshot of somwthing from 2007. We knew it wasnt cleaned as we pulled back a nightstand to plug in the lights and found used cups, floss sticks, and a sock. The phone in the room was an old land line that wasnt even connected or had a cord, lol! Overall the Waterpark was great and the room was nostalgic!"

"The hotel was conveniently located a short distance from DTW and offered a free shuttle service. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet. The bed was especially comfortable, and the shower was excellent. While the hotel does not have its own restaurant, the nearby Marriott is within walking distance and has a good restaurant. The complimentary breakfast was decent as well. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay near the Detroit airport."

"The outside of the bathroom door had two punch holes through it. The bedskirt was yellow spotted, though the sheets appeared clean. The shower never got hot or even warm. When I closed the drapes, they covered a quarter of the window, then I saw the roll-down, fabric (eek!) window shade with unraveling edges and holes. I looked for the treadmill and found it in a room with the security door lock removed and a blank hole. The “free” parking for travelers at the airport isn’t. They just tel you to park your car with Airport Parking and take a commission. Ludicrous! We would have been better served and probably safer and cleaner if we stayed at home and drove to the airport the next morning."

"We had a somewhat complex situation due to extending our stay from 1 night to 3. This seemed to confuse evening desk staff, who was also perfunctory to the point of rudeness, although the day staff were very competent, helpful and pleasant. Rooms were adequate though not very soundproof,as noise or loud TV from the next room was disruptive. Breakfast was adequate only."

However, the property shows its age and is in need of some maintenance; the room had a slight odor and desperately needs a fresh coat of paint.
