“The hotel overbooked, and this caused a lot of confusion at the time of check-in. They could not find my Expedia booking and hence we had to wait for almost half an hour. Although we had booked a superior triple room, we eventually got a double bed with an extra cot. We managed it in the end, but I would have certainly liked a more hassle-free experience at the hotel. The room was very small for three adults. The bathroom was comparatively bigger, so we had to keep some of our suitcases in the……

“The room was impossibly dark giving an overall sense of dinginess that under scrutiny was fully deserved. The carpets and furnishings were well worn and there was an overall sense of tired malaise about the whole environment. The much vaunted evening buffet was of a comparable condition having been prepared well in advance of anticipated dining times. Equally the breakfast lacked the freshness of immediate preparation. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful but I suspect needing more guidance……
