"We made the decision for last minute stop and we are glad we did! Jess and Retta were so nice. The place is clean and offers lots of amenities. Complimentary brandy, cookies, fruit, lavendar washcloths. Games, books and a pool table. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was filling. We would stay there again and will recommend!"

"3rd time stayed here and great as usual. Would stay again. I rarely ever have issues with the hotels/motels themselves. It’s the other guests which are usually the issue with their lack of awareness to the noise they create. Or, in this case, the dog(s) they travel with that constantly bark when they leave them alone in the room. Not the dog’s fault, was probably anxious. This was in room right next to me so no way to cover that sound with anything else. Will just request next time to maybe not place me in a room where there will be dogs right nearby if possible. The amusing part about it…this dog was barking like it was trying to say “I love you” 😄. Also, the AC/Heat unit is in the entry room only so may take some setting of the fan on high to get air back toward the bedroom on hotter days. I haven’t had any comfort issues with this myself though."

"Hallways smelled like brand new carpet, a welcome scent after a long day on the road. My understanding is this hotel is just completing a major remodel. It shows from the lobby, to the hallways, including a he fresh room. Breakfast included is always a welcome and delicious."

"My family, and I were moving, towing a U-Haul, and hit a deer. We made a reservation last minute at this property. They absolutely cannot have been more compassionate. The things they did to accommodate us were immeasurable and so meaningful, even offering us the opportunity to stay in the room longer at no additional fee. I cannot say enough about this property and thank all the staff for the things they did to make this traumatic event less stressful. Thanks to everyone for all of your gracious help. I would highly recommend this property."

"Had a wonderful weekend at this cottage although we had a lot of rain. Beautiful View of the river. Very well stocked with anything you may need. Only negative was it was very muddy, pretty much calf deep to get down to the water. As there has been weeks of rain lately though this is probably not normally the case. The home also had no outdoor water faucet/ hose but thankfully my son had brought a 5 gallon bucket with so we could fill it in the cottage and bring it outside to wash muddy feet before going inside. A great place to relax and unwind with the family. "
