We rented the cabin for a short getaway to the mountains, and SO glad we rented this one! The cabin is very clean, and with a charming rustic decor that immediately made us feel at home, and the kitchen, was equipped with everything we needed!
The location was perfect- in a quiet, wooded area but close to all local attractions and hiking trails.
The best part was sitting outside looking at the breathtaking views of the mountains. Our host was exceptional as well.
A fantastic experience! We want to come back again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lake Adger at this wonderful property. This is a very spacious property that is well equipped with beautiful mountain views. Near all activities in better times. The area is suffering from the damage from Tropical Storm Helene, and probably will for quite some time. But the entire area full of beautiful vistas and the sweetest people you would ever want to meet. Thanks for sharing your property.
We enjoyed a month long escape to My Happy Place. The cabin is lovely, well appointed and had everything we needed. The deck has some awesome mountain views and a nice firepit. Walking trails were close by, as was the Lake Adger marina; next time we'll bring kyaks so we can enjoy the lake. Lovely, quiet neighborhood with some great buck sightings! We had friends spend a weekend and they enjoyed the cabin and found the guest BR to be quite comfortable. Getting to see some equestrian competitions at nearby Tryon International Equestrian Center was fun One suggestion....since the trails there are private, a trail map might come in handy. We'll definitely be back.
My granddaughter and I had a wonderful time at My Happy Place. The cabin was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we're back in the area.
I'll first start off by saying that my family and I had a great time staying at the cabin. The hosts' communication was prompt. The inside was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend in the mountains. A couple of things...we read another comment, someone said this place was recently built...it wasn't. The cabin appears to be anywhere from 5-10 years old maybe? The outside of the property looks like it hasn't been kept up with as all trees and bushes are overgrown. The window to the upstairs bedroom was cracked. There really isn't anything close by--closest convenience store was a 35 min round trip so make sure you come with your firewood, food and drinks. There was a residence about 10 mins from the house that sells bundles of firewood but make sure you have cash. We fished at the public boat ramp a few mins from the house but you have to drive to get there and make sure you have your NC fishing license or you might get stopped by NCDNR like we did...I don't have a NC fishing license but they are cheap to buy on-line. I was fortunate for a warning bc fishing w/o a license is around 200. Nothing to take-away from our stay though, it certainly was peaceful as you don't get much city light or sound polution so keep that in mind when booking bc it DOES get dark and quiet at night.
