Amazing views, very clean!

This cabin is absolutely perfect! The view from the back porch is incredible. The kitchen has everything you'd ever need to cook and everything is so clean. I have high standards of clean! The beds are so comfortable. We will definitely book again, and i recommend this place to anybody!

Peaceful getaway

This is a beautiful and well maintained home! It's a wonderful place to spend time with family as you are surrounded with beautiful scenery and a scripturally decorated home! Judy is wonderful to work with and everything you could possibly want is included in the home! We are already planning our next trip to this wonderful and peaceful retreat.

You won't want to leave.......

Perfect cabin for 8 ladies connected by a love of hiking. I think there is no better sunset mountain views than this cabin. We had a hard time leaving it to do what we came for - hiking! The kitchen with lots of counter space, cozy dining table than could seat 10, porches, coffee bar with 2 pots, ample places to sleep in 3 levels, hot tub, all made for great girl bonding in the mountains. This is truly "A Taste of Heaven"!

Wonderful!

Judy was a wonderful host. The cabin was perfect for our Thanksgiving. The views are amazing and we loved sitting on the porch and the hot tub the most.

Warm and inviting home with gorgeous view

We had a wonderful week with our family in this very warm and inviting home. Very well stocked with all you need and an incredible view. The owners were very helpful and provided ideas for local activities we thoroughly enjoyed.

Stay in the mountains

We had a good time. The place was quiet and beautiful as we both just wanted to get away for a few days. Overall was a bit pricy but for what we were looking for it fit nicely. I don’t see how you could go wrong. We greatly appreciate staying at the cabin and so will you.

Joshua Tree check out

We’d Never been to Joshua Tree NP so we thought we would give it a shot. Found this place on VRBO, a few miles from the West entrance. Very cozy, very clean and the owner was a super attentive and helpful during our stay. Kitchen is very well-stocked and check in, check out was very simple. He aims to please. We’d go back

New Years 2023

My family and friends came to bring in the New Year in Mineral Bluff. This is truly a taste of heaven. The views are absolutely incredible. Just sitting on the porch and watching the sunset was truly incredible. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. It is such a spiritual place to sit and watch the world go by.

Amazing Views!

We have stayed in the Blue Ridge area many times and this cabin has everything. It exceeded our expectations. The view was amazing, especially at sunset. The cabin was well appointed with everything you need. We particularly enjoyed the coffee bar and a rousing game of 1980's Trivia Pursuit! We had a relaxing time in the hot tub and apple picking. Judy was very easy to communicate with and had great recommendations for us. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

Amazing!!

Judy is Heaven sent! The cabin was extra clean and fully accommodating!! When we walked in, we were already thinking of when we could come back lol. We absolutely loved the 3rd level! My kids, niece, nephew and my sister enjoyed the family room on the lower level. Kid friendly!! There is so much space and sleeping areas available here! The views are amazing! Everything was just amazing. We will be back!! Thank you all for having us!!

Cabin with a view

We enjoyed every bit of it. We are sad we couldn’t spend more time. The view is fantastic. It was raining most of the time but we were able to enjoy the weather from the deck. The cabin was clean. Instructions were clear. Everything worked well. Communication was excellent. We loved swinging in your swivel chair in the porch while enjoying the rain and all of us enjoyed hot tub for some time.

Beautiful cabin with gorgeous view

This is a delightful cabin with a whole lot of room. It's waaayyyy up at the top of a mountain (but the road is paved so have no fear, you'll make it to the top) and has a spectacular view from all three floors. Each floor has a wonderful outdoor space. The bottom one has a big, comfortable hot tub outside, plenty of beds, couches and a giant TV, foosball, and lots of games inside. The main level is comfortably furnished and has a wrap-around balcony with plenty of seating outside. The upper loft has its own balcony with a telescope to check out the heavens. Each floor has a spacious bathroom and there's a gigantic tup in the upstairs one. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could want and all appliances are modern and work well. Wi-fi is excellent and my honey enjoyed watching several of the many DVD movies. There is plenty of reading material available for guests. This cabin is also used as a retreat center so much of the reading material is inspirational, which I enjoyed. The beds are comfy; I preferred the firmer upstairs one and my honey was fine with the main floor bedroom. The fireplace is easy to operate and works well. Judy and Henry are excellent hosts and answered all of our questions. We had two excellent hikes, the longer one at Flat Creek Loop which gave us a good workout and lovely scenery without being too difficult. Mercier Orchards has the best apple pies in the world; we took three frozen ones home. Downtown Blue Ridge shopping made my heart happy, especially the art galleries. We didn't catch a train ride; maybe next time. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility at this cabin and I heartily recommend it for a relaxing stay.

Taste of Heaven

My family and I chose to stay at Taste of Heaven over Christmas. It was a beautiful property with breathtaking views and comfortable accommodations. But the property owners’ communication and attention to detail were above and beyond. We absolutely loved our trip and plan to stay here again.

Absolutely perfect!

Judy was such a perfect host! We had absolutely everything we needed. The mountain decor was perfect. The house was sparkling clean. We instantly felt welcome and at home there. The view is spectacular. There are so many things to do close by. Blue Ridge is a wonderful place to visit. Exceeded Expectations

The host was very accommodating. The property is spectacular. The view is stunning. I know neighbors were near, but we could barely see any other homes. Very private. Felt like we were truly away from it all. Highly recommend these owners and their property.

Amazing New Years

We rented the cabin for the week of New Years. We had 7 kids and 4 adults. It could not have been more perfect. The cabin had the adequate space, bedding and all of the amenities that went with it. It was clean upon arrival and I can’t think of anything negative to say. Mrs. Judy was an amazing host and a pleasure to speak to, always available for questions about the cabin or recommendations for things to do in the area. I would highly recommend staying here!

Even better than the pictures!

If you want the seclusion and the views, this is your place. We were pleasantly surprised that things were even nicer than we expected from the pictures. There were far more amenities than most other rentals we've stayed at as well (games, books, movies, video gaming, highly stocked kitchen and bathrooms). Hot tub was wonderful and the whole place was squeaky clean. Large washer/dryer, plenty of seating, insane amount of deck space. I'd say the only downfall was no yard space to throw a football around or let kids run, but I wasn't expecting it that far up a mountain. You'll just be staying inside or on decks unless you drive somewhere to hike or check out the small towns. We had a lovely quiet Thanksgiving there. Judy, the host, was beyond helpful, with lots of detailed info and instant response times. Thank you!

Truly a taste of heaven!

Judy and Henry were excellent hosts! I was looking to spend quality time with my sons (8 and 5) for the weekend and their home was the perfect place to do that. The house was large, clean and well stocked. It is nestled among trees and provides a lot privacy. The best part though are the views, pictures don’t do justice. Judy was very warm, engaging, accommodating and responsive throughout our visit. When we entered the home my kids were surprised by goodies and treats that she had left for them - very thoughtful of her. We enjoyed spending time at the two levels of wrap around decks, the quaint top floor room/balcony, the hot tub, foosball table and the many board games etc. Thank you so much Judy and Henry for creating and sharing such a wonderful space and for being so welcoming to me and my boys. We made some great memories and will certainly be back - we look forward to it! Thanks and take care, JD

The perfect place for a getaway!

Lovely Cabin with Amazing Views

Judy was a delight! She checked in to ensure everything was going well. The house was spotless and had all the amenities we needed to feel at home. Please be forewarned, this home is also used as a Christian retreat so there is a lot of Spiritual / God / Jesus messages & decor along with a spotlit red cross in the backyard which is illuminated at night. My young kids found the red cross a bit creepy. We overall found the messages uplifting and comforting even as a non-Christian family. It was a warm and welcoming place and a great home base to set off and explore the amazing hiking and beauty of the area if you don't mind the God stuff.
