“Where to begin!? The photos in the listing simply do not do this property justice. It is a truly magical location and I highly recommend it. We rented the entire place, for 20 people, to celebrate a birthday and each family, couple or single had their own private space/apartment, while still being part of the whole. It's charming and had all the amenities. There are several nearby villages to grab dinner or groceries, and Lucca is only an hour away. It's a bit of a hike to the marble quarries,……

“This stay was idyllic and everything that was promised. Privacy, serenity and beautiful surroundings. Loads to do in the area and off the beaten track enough to have a sanctuary from tourism. Susan was the hostess with the mostess. Always there for suggestions, but never intruding. Her family are quintessential Italian and we loved hearing her grandchildren calling each other across the garden, hearing the neigh of the horses and next doors donkey in the distance. If you like some solitude……

“The pictures of the property and apartment speak for themselves. Angela and Simone keep this beautiful property meticulously maintained and very clean. They provided a great welcome package that included various kitchen staples (eggs/bread/OJ/fruit, etc...) which we put to good use. Center of town is a 12 minute walk from the apartment and day trips to Florence/Portofino/Cinque Terre are easy (about an hour away each). City of Lucca is 25 minutes away by car and a hidden gem of this region. ……

“Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und alle Geräte funktionieren. Die Klimaanlage haben wir eigentlich gar nicht benötigt, da bei offenen Fenstern immer ein leichter Durchzug im Haus vorhanden war.Am Pool zirpten die Grillen und ab und an bellten die Hunde. Etwas anspruchsvoll ist lediglich der Transport schwerer Taschen zum Haus, da man doch einen Weg über Stufen zurücklegen muss. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub!”

“This is a really excellent property. The house is spacious, cool even in August and very quiet both in the day and the night. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. The views are incredible and the pool and outside eating area are better than the photos look. There is a nice BBQ which had plenty of gas. The only thing to be wary of is the very steep and narrow road up to the house. It is better to have a smaller car! ”

“We were awe stricken upon arrival. This home was even better in person. There was one morning when there were low clouds in the valley and we ate on the patio seemingly above the clouds. The views were spectacular. The drive to the home is typical, switchbacks, tight curves and elevation gain. The nights at the main house were cool and comfortable. The pool was always refreshing after our daily adventures. There is a bathroom by the pool for convenience too. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table……

“Our little group of 4 had a wonderful stay at Pian di Luca! The view was spectacular, and the accommodations were perfect. From “Pizza & Wine” night at the property to afternoons by the pool, we loved every minute of our time spent here.”

“Very nice villa with an extraordinarily friendly host. Neighbors underneath were very quiet and friendly, too. Great view from the balkony and proper beds, which was important to us. Could use an air con for hot days, but we were out in the beautiful surroundings, anyway.”

“We had a great stay, was a little hesitant on arrival as we were driving away from the beach (as expected) and through what would be considered more industrial surroundings. Once past we arrived at the blissful Montepepe. A very peaceful boutique wine farm. Not sure how many can stay at hotel but at any given time there were about 4 or 5 tables at breakfast. The pool is great and relatively quiet as most go out for the day. Rooms were great, good aircon, lovely high ceilings. Didn't try the……

“We had such a great stay in this beautiful place. Annemarie is the perfect host, she created an amazing place, very warm and welcoming, cute little details and the house was absolutely spotless!
