Tucked among a cluster of old storybook cabins, our little place in the woods offers a simple, back-to-basics kind of stay. No frills, no fuss just the essentials and a quiet invitation to slow down.

This area of Northern Michigan has a character all its own. You’ll find tall pines, friendly waves from neighbors, and a refreshing sense that folks here live by their own rhythm.

The cabin is modest with a screened in patio made for sitting with a strong cup of coffee or something stronger. Nature is ever-present: birds, wind in the trees, and the occasional ATV. Just down the road, the Au Sable River offers world-class fishing, peaceful floats, and trails for hiking and biking. Nearby towns offer a glimpse into a culture that’s equal parts practical, proud, and unhurried.

Super cute! Loved the tiny cabin feel, the leaves and property were so cute. Had to sweep all of the left over dog hair up from previous guests, but we love dogs, so it wasn’t a bother. Can’t wait to stay agin :)

The cabin is very nice and clean. We found the bed to be comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well for cooking our own meals. The host was communicative and easy to reach. The listing and photos are somewhat deceptive. This is not a cabin in the woods but more like a cabin in a subdivision. There is no privacy outdoors as the neighbors are directly behind the fence of the very small yard. Also, we found it hard to park our truck, we have a Ram 1500 four door, in the driveway. The entrances to the cabin are very narrow and there is not a lot of places to turn around or park.

Close to livery

Convenient location. Nice shower and kitchen area. Extra detached screened porch and fire pit area. Private and quiet. Felt safe. Good parking area.

Check in was effortless. Kitchen was not very well equipped, but we were only there for 3 nights, so we managed. The bed was quite uncomfortable, the mattress had way outlived it’s lifespan. That was our biggest problem. And prior guests must have had a dog, because there was tufts of dog fur everywhere. It was rustic, which we liked, but I think some upgrades should be done.

This cabin was so adorable! We only stayed for a night as a pit stop to our next destination but it was pet friendly and super comfortable. I loved the cute lighting all over it made it like a childhood dream fort. Playing cards in the screened in porch was a blast too! The hosts and the place was just great would go back again!

Tiny, Rustic, & Enjoyable

My husband and I were there for a quick stay, quicker than we had planned on because my husband came down with a bad cold. We had a tiny bit of trouble finding the place - mostly because we could not see any street signs or the road as it was covered with falling leaves!! Beautiful area and we had detailed directions from the host. Because my husband was ill I opted to sleep on the futon/couch. I'm sad to say it just was not comfortable. The bed must have been as my husband slept well. We did not cook in the cabin and the freezer needed a good defrost. If we had stayed longer we would have enjoyed a meal or two outside in the screened in patio, it was very inviting! We also did not take advantage of the areas the host had suggested. We stumbled onto one bakery on our way into the cabin, it was very good!! We had just come from a wedding in Chicago and had spent three nights in a luxury hotel - we were a bit spoiled!

Goodfor the price

Wasn't the cleanest- toaster oven was so dirty it was unusable, trash can outside was overflowing and had mold in it. There was very little light as it was and the bedroom light was burned out. The pics made it look like the screened in area was in a secluded area where you could enjoy nature. It’s not. This is a very residential area. Houses on all side. But for the price it's not bad. expecteexpect.

Great Cabin Getaway

Great communication from start to finish. We did a river trip and visited family near by. This is”Glamping” well done. Very clean cabin, 5 star for sure on cleanliness. Rental rate is well priced. Peaceful and everything you need for Glamping! Pack your food and beverages, grab some wood and you are all set!!

Cozy & clean

Cute little cabin. Has everything you need. Cabin was clean. I loved that coffee was provided. The host was fantastic. Linens were provided. If you want to go back in time and enjoy the simple life this is the place for you. The backyard has a screened pinic area. Cable and internet provided.
