Short Beach Trip

We loved the property, and the lock out room was great for our teenage son. Everything about the property was great with the exception of the floors, they were dirty and obvious they had not been thoroughly cleaned before our stay. That’s an easy fix and would definitely recommend this property.

Work Trip

Had a great trip. Was in town for a conference at the Grand Sandestin so the location was convenient to everything. Room was nice and provided everything I needed.

Anniversary Get-Away

Everything went as planned. Property was exceptional; close to attractions (golf !) Shuttles took longer than I remembered, but that may have been due to a large corporate outing that was there. Would have been all "5's", but there was some lag in email/text responses. Not terribly long. But enough to make us wonder if they were recieved. Overall a great stay; looking forward to another one soon. Jim

great location in san destin resort

We had lots of room and it was very nice to have a guest bathroom when people visited. The connecting apartments were nicely decorated and the balcony looking out to the bay was beautiful. Our only complaints were: 1)the wifi was spotty 2)the tvs didnt work well with the wifi not working well and 3)the wash cloths in the baths were super thin and yellowed. Other than that we had a great time at the resort and around destin and enjoyed the apartment. Thanks for hosting us!

Worst experience ever. Stay away!

When we arrived, there had been a water pipe leak in the facilities area adjacent to the unit (ice machine/laundry area). Large industrial fans and repair workers were working in the hallway outside the unit. Water had seeped into the master bedroom and locked owner's closet which shared a common wall with the issue going on in the building. I'm not sure how long it had been going on, but the carpet was wet, and the smell was unbearable -- almost similar to a moldy fishy smell which means the wet carpet had probably been sitting this way for a while in the hot unoccupied rental unit. We notified the property management at check in. Two members of our party became ill because of the smell despite us trying to dry out the carpet with industrial fans provided by the building management as well as opening the balcony door to allow fresh air in. The building manager came and confirmed that this unit should not be stayed in until the problem had been fixed. We were relocated to another unit but then asked to leave with virtually no notice after one night as this unit had been rented to someone else by the rental agency. We were forced to pack up our belongings into our car for they day and My Vacation Haven said they would "be in touch". After not hearing from them for over 6 hours, we called them back and were told to move back into the Bahia. We were told they had fixed the issue with the wet carpet and smell. They did not. The carpet had been dried out and the water stain was gone (probably since we had fans on the area now for 24+ hours) but the smell was still awful and unbearable. We moved in/out of rental properties from My Vacation Haven 3 times before the management company told us they had no properties left and everything they had was rented. They were not helpful in finding another place to stay. We ended up leaving and booking a hotel on our own. My Vacation Haven claims they "inspect" properties before you arrive but this obviously is not the case. Unless you want to inhale moldy dead fish smell your entire vacation and deal with a nightmare of a property management agency, do not book here!!!

Family Vacation

This was our first time to Destin. The Sandestin was the best choice we made! This condo was clean and ready for us at check in. The balcony has a beautiful view. The beach toys and chairs were great and the Sandestin Tram was very convenient. My only complaint was not having information about the resort and all it has to offer. I would suggest having a map of the resort and options/activities the resort offers.

Problems in Paradise

Sadly we had a day/night without air early in the stay. Internet service was sketchy making it difficult to stream an evening movie for the kids. The area is overpopulated making the beach nearly inaccessible We did enjoy the community pool and the evening activities at the wharf. The condo itself was as comfortable as advertised when cool. We are Floridians and have found other resorts more fun and a better value.

Great stay!

Our stay was excellent! Location was perfect for the pool, parking garage, and walking to Baytowne Warf outdoor shops. The only instruction we didn't receive was the code to get into the parking garage. Not to worry, someone else coming in shared the code with us. The view from the balcony overlooking the bay was gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

The reclining leather sectional and huge screen TV made for comfortable lounging. Close to the pool. You just walk down half a hallway and go right to the pool. Kitchen was nice and master bath is large. Would definitely go back again.

Beautiful, clean and spacious condo

We had an excellent experience! Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived. We didn’t have the WiFi password or beach chairs and with one call, had the password and chairs delivered same day. Would stay here again for sure. The only thing that would have been helpful is a gulf cart to get around in but the tram is available.

Great property

We loved the condo and it’s location. So nice to be able to walk to Baytown Village. We were not made aware however that there was a code to get into the parking garage. When I called the property manager, they were unable to locate it within my reservation and had to transfer me. We had several cars behind us that we had to make back up just to get back out. Frustrating! Also, we had workers above us that started with loud power tools and hammering about 8:00 am each morning. Kinda hard to sleep in on your vacation😢. Those were my only two complaints. Otherwise good place to stay.
