The open plan kitchen and living area extend onto the beachside pavilion. Open the bi -fold doors from the living area to the pavilion and enjoy the free flow feeling with spectacular views across the stunning Coral Sea to Dunk Island. There are 2 queen bedrooms (one ensuited) both opening on to the beachside pavilion. The third bedroom offers 2 single beds. Enjoy the beauty of being lulled to sleep day or night by the sound of the waves as you enjoy your tropical escape. If air conditioning is your preference, it is there for you. The protected private swimming pool is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Lazing around the pool reading your favourite novel or just playing with the children will have all those daily stresses disappear in no time. The gardens around the pool are a treat as you are sure to see a Ulysses Butterfly or two and even the impressive Cairns Bird Wing Butterflies. For those of you who enjoy starting your day in relaxed way use the Tropika yoga mat and bolster for a morning salute to the rising sun over Dunk Island. .... Tropika offers the true beach holiday home feel. Simple with everything you need to feel as if you are on holidays as soon as you arrive. This holiday home is 300 m to Mission Beach Shopping Village. Mission Beach is a great location for your holiday. The quaint shopping village of Mission Beach offers a selection of cafes, restaurants, bars. There is also a great fruit and vegetable store, a mini mart and specialty food/baker. The first and third Sunday of each month there a markets in the park at Mission Beach. The Monster Markets are on the last Sunday of the month from Easter to November. It is great fun strolling around the village shops and galleries. During the stinger months (November to May) there is a stinger enclosure at Mission Beach. Woolworths Supermarket is just a 5 - 10 min drive from Mission Beach village. It is located at Wongaling Beach. Transport is not really a necessity when you stay at Tropika. It is just a short stroll to the quaint Mission Beach Shopping Village. Why not ask us to arrange bike hire and you can cycle along the beach taking in the views to Dunk Island and Family Group of islands whilst cycling to Wongaling Beach or South Mission Beach. Great location in the heart of Mission Beach; close to beach; walking distance to the heart of the town and huge deck to enjoy while looking out towards the ocean. Fun neighbours!

Firstly thank you for having us. As mentioned before I am a patient person but far from impressed about our stay at the 14 Donkin Lane priority. Upon arrival the lock box was wide open with keys in the box. We proceeded to enter the property to find bifold doors that were seized shut and only 1 door able to be opened, this takes away completely from the ascetics of booking a beach front property. Secondly, unless my partner was handy there would have been no way of getting the middle clear roller blind up on the deck as the roller was jammed. There is a broken leg on one of the cane chairs on the deck. We were advised on check in that the cook top was unusable and broken, we were more than accommodating and were fine to use the bbq for cooking however, upon using only were faced with only 1/3rds of the bbq lighting. It should be noted the range hood is also broken in the kitchen and most of the cupboard doors are that out of line and swollen that they no longer shut properly. The aircon in the main bedroom doesn’t work, YES an electrician was arranged to attend the property for this on Sunday and it blew cold air for NO MORE than 20 mins then went back to not working and blowing NO cold air. Light to the master bedroom mirror doesn’t work along with the light dimmers. The toilet door in the master bedroom doesn’t close (therefore no privacy!) your couldn’t hang cloths in the master bedroom due to not being able to slide/move the wardrobe door. The light in the bedroom with the two single beds kept turning on once the switch was off, the electrician who attended the property did change the bulb. The door to this bedroom also doesn’t close correctly and is nearly off it’s hinges. The roller blind in the main bedroom had no cord on it, it’s either all the way up or fully down and unrolled all over the ground. The bathroom floor to the main bathroom floods the bathroom floor when having a shower so all cloths left on the ground get soaking wet. All beds are that hard that they are nearly not sleep-able. I am currently 6 months pregnant and sleeping with no air conditioning at this time of year and in a hard bed was completely uncomfortable. We travelled all the way from Toowoomba for this stay with our family and can say that it was far from impressing. Based on the above continuing issues with this property and our stay - I am requesting a refund of of AT LEAST 50% for our stay. I think this is more than reasonable. You need to complete maintenance

Needs Maintenance and Repairs
Had a lovely 2 night stay but this property is tired and needs lots of maintenance. It is also very small internally but has a lovely big deck and is in a great location. If you are looking for everything to work, things to be spotlessly clean, modern and of high quality then this is not the place for you. We enjoyed our stay but we did expect the bifold front onto the deck to operate, things to not be as run down, walls needing a paint, blinds broken, pavers around the pool all unstable and generally cleanliness and maintenance to be a lot better. Lots of potential but well past it’s best. It also has no wifi.

Location, this house is it
We had a great stay, very comfortable house, great pool. Sure it could do with a little refresh update but this house is in the prime location, a stroll to town, right near the stinger net (seasonal) a quiet area of Mission beach. Thoroughly enjoyed it all, we will be back.
