“Do not be misled by the reviews that left 10 stars. Like i was. When we walked in it felt very sketch. Although the bedding had been washed there are stains on the sheets and blankets. There are scuff marks and black hand prints on the walls. It wouldn’t take much to make this hotel feel cleaner. Simply painting walls and getting new bedding. The hotel staff was friendly and there was good water pressure and the location was good but other then that it was not great.”

“Top lock on door was loose and didn't work, the floor in the room was dirty, and there is very limited parking (small parking area). The only thing positive about this place was the staff, Rachel. Very sweet and kind. ”

Coaster trolleys and freight trains go by several times an hour, you can hear car traffic, as well as small planes buzzing overhead. The bedframe sticks out and sounds like a kettle drum when you kick it…quite a surprise wake up when the late night urge comes upon you and you are climbing back in the rack. “The room had nasty smell to it, the tea didn’t work, I had to go out to come and look at the TV four times before you actually came and then they told me they forgot and then there was nothing to do about it the shower had cracks in the walls that were moldy and the lighting of the shower the pillows had stains on them and they said not leave any makeup on the towels or mess them up in anyway or we wouldn’t get our deposit it didn’t feel safe and it smells like ass ”

“It was a good price and mostly clean, though my first room had a funky mildew smell and a dead cockroach in it. But the downtown Oceanside area is notorious for roaches. The woman running the front desk was pleasant and changed my room for me because of the smell. Great location. In good shape (maintenance wise, paint, furniture condition, etc.). Bed was comfortable. I didn’t try the breakfast. Overall I’d stay here again. ”

“This hotel is located right next to the beach and many other great restaurants in town. However, the facilities are dated: the bed will move, not enough tables in the room, dishes are not thoroughly cleaned and really really thin wall. You have to walk down to the lobby if you wish to borrow a hair dryer. Although my reservation clearly indicated that "breakfast included", all they had was some fruits and cookies. The lady at the reception desk in the morning was really unfriendly, she did not……

“Linens on the trundle bed were SOILED! We also had ants in the room, and the plumbing had some issues. Also, coffee and tea area only available in the lobby from 7:30am - 4pm. We had the read online that each room came with a coffee machine/Keurig. Since we wake up early, we had to wait a while for a morning coffee. It was inconvenient.
