Our home for the last four years . . .
While our daughter studied at DWU these past four years, we ALWAYS stayed at the Corn Palace Cottage and ENJOYED every visit. We looked forward to our stay knowing that the cottage had EVERYTHING we needed. The communication with the owners made it feel like FAMILY. Everything is so close and convenient. We want to thank you for always being there for us and making your home feel like our home while traveling. We will be back, just because. #Cheers

Stellar location, comfortable stay
I stayed at the cottage with my middle school son and his friend for their event at the Corn Palace. The cottage has an ideal location for any time you want easy access to Downtown Mitchell. It was a quick drive to the aquatic center and easy walking for food. I'll take bed toppers next time we stay because the bed and the pull-out sofa were too firm for us, but I don’t count that as a fault. Perfectly acceptable for our stay. The shower is tiny, which was a non-issue for the boys or me; however, it would have been uncomfortable for my 6' 3", 250# husband. Not a deal breaker, just something to know. Overall, a really lovely place to stay and enjoy Mitchell! The cottage is well-appointed, charming, and comfortable in all regards. The boys thought it was our most fun trip to Mitchell yet. The only disappointing part was having to cut our trip unexpectedly short!

The pull out bed cannot be justified as comfortable, therefore I would regard the house as accommodates 2 adults. The house is lacking towel bars in the kitchen and bathroom. The black rug under the bed hides the bed frame legs, especially the middle legs, very easy to overlook and possibly break a toe. Not much fun for vacationing guests. Overall a very cute set up, just lacking a few essentials. Thanks for everything…

DWU Graduation = perfect location
The Corn Palace Cottage is exactly what we needed for our stay during DWU graduation! Excellent location and proximity to the Corn Palace, Stacey was very easy to contact and communicate with, check-in/out was a very simple process, the home was cozy and clean. Will stay again when in Mitchell!

Perfect Place go Stay in Mitchell
Yeah, can you put this is such a perfect place to stay while visiting mitchell. It’s right next to the corn Palace. Plus, within walking distance to every great restaurants and pubs in Mitchell on Main Street. Cozy, neat and everything you need. Everything we needed
Staying at the Mitchell, SD Vrbo was just what we needed. We enjoyed a nice meal made on the hotplate then had fun exploring the decorated, lighted Corn Palace. The pullout couch was surprisingly very comfortable. Highly recommended vrbo!

Nice place, great location, very clean!
We really enjoyed our stay at this home in Mitchell. We loved the location. It across the street from the Corn Palace. We walked to our son's graduation at the corn palace:) Easy walking distance to lots to do. We enjoyed the up-to-date decor with some fun vintage mixed in. If you like cooking in, the kitchen cooking is a little bit of a challenge, but it can be done. The shower is small, but works fine. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Mitchell.

Excellent place for downtime
We came to Mitchell for our granddaughter’s State swim meet. This was a perfect place to relax in between sessions. Three young adults joined us so they could watch their sister/cousin swim. A twin air bed and the pull out sofa worked great! We had everything we needed and enjoyed the home atmosphere. Thank you for a fun weekend. The house was just as advertised, the check in and check out process was so easy (we were delayed on the beginning and end of our trip due to airline cancellations) and the house was clean, comfy and perfectly located for everything we wanted and needed to do in Mitchell (go see our son's football game at DWU). Perfect for my needs
The location was perfect. The house was well equipped. The only thing I would have liked to have would be a full size stove. With just a single burner hot plate and a small counter top oven (which could not be used at the same time), it made eating at home quite limited.

Nice location, very comfy bed!
This property was easy to find, and conveniently located right near downtown. Great communication with property manager who answered all questions promptly. It was the most comfortable bed I've slept in away from home for a long time. I will definitely stay here again on my way through. :-)

We were thrilled to find out how close we were to The Corn Palace and walkable to many downtown shops. The vacation house was no frills but had everything we needed. It is very comfortable! There are lots of choices for eating out if that is your plan.

Great location and clean
We were passing through Mitchell to go to Yellowstone and wanted to see the corn palace. This VRBO was perfect location for our family of four. You can park right in front, making the unloading process from your car very easy. 1 minute walk to corn palace and local restraunts and bars was great! Clean and definitely would come back!

Convient spot to stay, unfortunately the sound did not work on the tv, however there were interesting books available to read, the shower is on the very low end of economy, one had to be very cautious about using the kitchen appliances due to possible breaker tripping.

Tammy and family were great. The prior visitors had changed the hdmi function for gaming box. We do have a top of the line oven/air fryer counter top model in the kitchen which does use a lot of juice when the coffee pot microwave and oven are all in use. We are in progress to put the oven on a separate breaker. We would love to have Tammy stay with us again.

A Gem near the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD
Everything went so smoothly from booking the property through the checkout process. This rental, near the Corn Palace and downtown in Mitchell SD, is a lovely little house ~ decorated very tastefully and loaded with sweet touches, snacks, Keurig coffee maker & pods, bottled water and plenty of info on nearby restaurants and places to go. Everything functioned perfectly, so there were no problems that popped up and the owner quickly responded to questions. There’s lots of space in the rental, with a large and fully stocked kitchen, big rooms, laundry and comfortable bed. I hope to stay there every time I am visiting relatives there or attending functions in that area. Great find!!
