"Very friendly and fully responsive staff available at all times. Suite had great view of the Aegean, as advertised, with balcony equipped with sun shade. Kitchen had everything we needed including cooking top (with extractor fan), refrigerator and clothes washer (this was a big plus for us). Wonderful location in main town and within walking distance to ferry port, and castle and some excellent restaurants and bars."

"Clean and spacious room (we stayed in the honeymoon suite). Shower and whirlpool bath both had plenty of water flow, but variable temperature depending on demand by other guests… Fairly dark at night, but no blackout curtains, so might be too much light for some. Noisy due to loud motorcycles and cars in the small streets surrounding the hotel, but fortunately noise did not last late into the night. Efficient air conditioning. Breakfast offering reasonably varied, but hot items were sometimes cold. Automated coffee machine, decent quality, but disappointing for coffee aficionados. Located within easy walking distance of old port and chora. All in all, a good hotel, would stay here again, but would consider exploring alternatives."

"The breakfast was cooked to order and flexible as to types of eggs and meat. The staff were so friendly and excellent. Check in/out with Anastasia was efficient and seamless. Being on the edge of town has its benefits!"

"Excellent location close to the water with countless restaurants to choose from. Very good buffet breakfast included. Bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated but room was rather small and a bit dated. Balcony was very small and the room overlooked some noisy construction / renovation. Also overlooked a childrens’ arcade which was open until 10:30pm, so if you’re likely to be annoyed by the sound of children enjoying themselves you might avoid the rooms at the back of the building. The hotel has an elevator which was appreciated. I would choose this hotel again, but perhaps not this room."

"Our stay at Makava Suites was wonderful from start to finish. The rooms exceeded our expectations and were even better in person than in the photos. Everything was spotless, and both the bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff were incredibly responsive, warm, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience on the island. Having on-site parking made our rental car experience seamless, and the rooftop hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a full day of exploring. Overall, I would highly recommend Makava!!!"

We also appreciated the variety of amenities available; everything was thoughtfully provided to make the stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Communication from the staff was clear and prompt throughout our stay. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended."
