Lovely historic property in downtown Mobile so the location is great. Recently updated room, very clean, nice quality linens. Unfortunately my room had no hot water at all. Water pressure was awesome, just very cold. I left hot water valve open for a while, hoping for at least Luke warm - nope, just cold water.

Excellent adjacent Parking. The hotel is historic and has a lot of charm, but of course that does lead to some maintenance issues.. there is a courtyard that loses the Sun by 5 pm. We had trouble having two showers and getting hot water.. there was limited lighting in the bedrooms. However, it was still a good hotel with the location two blocks away from Dolphin Street.

The elevator did not work, the ice machine did not work, one of the two keys to the room did not work and the tv remote was low on battery. I likely would have left this to myself but a neighbor was up to 3:00 am and then back up at 7:00 am making noise in front of our room and playing the piano at 7:45 am keeping us awake. The place is in a great area and the parking lot was very helpful.

We had a lovely stay at the Malaga Inn. We stayed in the older original part of the hotel. I can imagine this hotel was quite the place in its heyday! Although some little places are showing their age, we could not fault our stay. The beds were very comfortable, large rooms with beautiful antiques. The courtyard is beautiful with its fountain and abundance of foliage and plants, a peaceful, relaxing area to sit and drink coffee in the morning. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the Inn. Plenty of parking and a quiet area. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Mobile!

Had hoped for a quaint, downtown property with some old charm. I guess the price point should have been an indicator of the hotel’s quality. Stained and worn out furniture, musky smells, make shift A/C, lack of electrical plugs, baseboards partially ripped out in bathroom. The property has so much potential, but it appears that the failure of upkeep will prevent it from becoming a truly good hotel experience. Staff was polite. We checked in, and immediately left to stay at a different hotel.

Our room was in the historic section. The staff was amazing! The most friendly, helpful people I have ever encountered. The kind woman at the front desk went so far as to call her daughter for a recommendation for a vegetarian restaurant for me! Many restaurants within walking distance. Parking is sufficient. The courtyard is delightful. Spring cleanup has been delayed by recent cold weather. Chairs and tables invite guests to pause and enjoy the tumbling water in the fountain and the warm sunshine. The Spanish Park and the Carnival Museum are just down the street.
