Lovely Property on the Sea Shore

Wonderful stay at a very nice property. Beautiful view from the bluff overlooking the beach…great view from the living room windows , deck and back yard. Will stay there again.

Wonderful Location

Sandcastle Bluff is in a great location. You can see the surf and beach from the living room. House is comfortable and well equipped. We had a great time.

Beautiful Beach Getaway!

The house was lovely and perfect for our family of 4, but could sleep at least 4 more. Terrific sunset views overlooking Sunset Beach that's just a short drive away.

Great stay during the winter time

Had a great time enjoying the ocean view during the winter. It was pretty chilly outside but the large windows were great to see the ocean from the dining table and couch. Thanks for having us and allowing our dogs to come with us too!

Exactly what we needed

Great views, lots of space, books for reading, and Ole Ty of places to relax. The only thing that could be improved is working bbq. But we made without.

Great View; Some Negatives

We stayed here for four nights. This is a charming house throughout with a spectacular view of the ocean. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The library is amazing. The hot tub is well maintained and appreciated. The house is very accessible with a wheelchair ramp and would be comfortable for all ages. Negatives: the outside areas are in need of attention. The yard, which is crushed rock is filling with weeds and needed mowing. The decking is collapsing in several places and is slippery with moss in some places when wet. Wooden seating on the deck needs pressure washing. The lounge chair cushions and frames are in need of cleaning. Bushes are in need of trimming as they are beginning to obstruct the view. Pictures online must be very old.

Great location but needs work

The location of this house on the bluff is awesome and the view of the ocean was excellent. The house itself has plenty of rooms (two very large masters). First impression was good but things started to change as we spent a bit more time there. We had a few issues during our stay that included the following:The kitchen lights kept flickering and the fridge kept shutting off indicating some sort of electrical issue.The laundry room sink was detached from the plumbing and upon use spilled water all over the floor. Upon further inspection I found a container below the sink plumbing indicating that the presence of the leak was already known and not fixed, and I found mold in the cabinet under the sink.The fridge water dispenser was moldy. There was old food on some of the dishes. They had a few light bulbs needing replacing.There's a bow in the decking of the outside back deck.The kitchen sink faucet dripped unless it was shut off just right. Even though it is winter time while we stayed here, there were no outside fires allowed (even with low fire danger).Advertised price was much lower than the actual cost after the added fees. While the location and view were awesome, it seemed like the house was kind of being held together with a bunch of quick fixes and needs some work to be in a good state of working order. For our experience, we don't believe that it was worth the money to stay at this place.

The house and location was stunning. Clean, beautiful, close to ocean access. Comfortable beds to sleep in for many guests. It was the perfect get away for several friends who don’t see each other often to unwind and relax. Highly recommend!
