Experience the delights of the Belle Epoque in this stunning studio apartment for 2 people. On the 5th floor (with lift) of a historic residence just 30 metres from the beach, this airy studio makes a stylish base for a couple who want to explore the popular resort of Menton and the Côte d’Azur.

The entrance to the Astoria residence is an impressive open hall with a wide staircase. The studio is equally elegant, with extensive mirrors and a large bay window. It is furnished with two sofas, lovely antique furniture, a flat-screen TV and a dining table, right by the window, for meals with a view over the rooftops to the sea. The open-plan kitchenette is equipped with a cooker hob, oven and fridge.

The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed.

Location
The vibrant town of Menton lies between Monaco (20 minutes) and the Italian border (15 minutes). It is known for its temperate climate, exotic gardens, beautiful beaches and the Medieval Old Town. It has been a popular holiday resort for over a century and with good reason. Menton offers a tempting mix of history, culture, fine cuisine and pure relaxation all year round.

Centrally located, guests will find all the amenities such as a bakery, pharmacy and supermarket less than 50m from their front door. For the best local produce, head to the covered market, Le Marché des Halles, on Quai de Monleon (a 13-minute walk). Every day of the week you can find the finest regional food including cheese, fish, charcuterie etc.

The apartment is just a 15-minute walk from the Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets and historic architecture. The Baroque Basilica of St Michel towers over the buildings which slope down to the Old Port (20-minute walk). Here you will find some of the world’s most expensive yachts. For more glamour, head to the Casino Barrière Menton (5-minute walk. Here you will find restaurants and entertainment, as well as roulette and blackjack tables. For a swim in the Mediterranean Sea, the beach (La Plage de Borrigo) is just a 1-minute walk.

Nice airport is just 35 minutes away. The airport shuttle bus stop is opposite the building entrance. Alternatively, Menton railway station is a 5-minute walk.
