If Menton is a garden, the Mediterranean Sea that borders it must have made it the natural oasis of the French Riviera. Just a few steps away, you can enjoy the seaside as well as our beautiful public and private beaches with beach huts that rent mattresses and parasols and offer quality cuisine overlooking the sea. Carnolès Beach stretches from the Menton exit to the start of Cap Martin, a little over a kilometer long.
A few steps away, you can also relax in the Citrus Garden of the Palais Carnolès, a two-hectare public garden dedicated to citrus fruits. It is classified among the Remarkable Gardens of France by the Ministry of Culture. Nearby, you'll find the Jardins Bioves and Casino district, in the heart of the city center, renowned for its small park featuring unique citrus fruit sculptures during the annual Lemon Festival, its sunshine, its quality of life with shops, and its beaches.
Or follow the coastal path to discover Cap Martin, for a seaside stroll along a wild and verdant coastline. A favorite vacation spot for many celebrities, Cap Martin reveals its history through the luxurious Belle Époque villas and their superb gardens, as well as the architectural works of Le Corbusier and Eileen Gray. Enjoy a unique panoramic view of the Côte d'Azur, stretching from the Principality of Monaco on the one hand, to Menton and the Ligurian coast in Italy on the other.
Buses, a bus station, and a train station are very close, allowing for quick travel to Monaco, Italy, and the entire region.
