Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve

We arrived in Cancún a day earlier than planned, so we booked one night at Ava Resort before transferring to our main stay. Honestly, after that one night, I kind of wished we had booked longer! The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. Everything was clean, the grounds were taken care of, and the whole property had a really nice, relaxed feel. We were also pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite, which was such a nice touch. We definitely weren’t expecting it, so it made our one-night stay feel extra special. I know upgrades aren’t something every guest should expect, but we were very grateful for ours! The staff were great from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the service felt genuine rather than overly formal. We had dinner at Veranda, and the service there was honestly one of the highlights of our stay. Our server was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and just made the experience really enjoyable. After traveling, it was exactly the kind of dinner we needed. We also had a chance to enjoy the pool and some of the resort amenities, and everything was clean and in great condition. Even though we were only there for one night, we got a really good feel for the property. It was technically just our “extra” night before heading to our main resort, but Ava definitely started the trip off on a high note. We left thinking we could have easily stayed another few nights. 10/10 from us. 🌴☀️ Would definitely come back!
