SEAside Island Country House - Vacation in a thatched-roof cottage with a private beach

Beach getaways at the SEAside half of a thatched-roof house, with plenty of space for up to 8 people to feel right at home.

Spanning 3 floors and 145 square metres, with 4 bedrooms (3 of which have en-suite bathrooms), a private sauna, a cosy fireplace, two furnished terraces, and private access to the Bodden, the SEAside half-house invites you to relax and unwind.

GROUND FLOOR—KITCHEN, LIVING-DINING AREA, 1 BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE BATHROOM

The open-concept living area offers you an exclusive view of the water and the Mönchgut peninsula. Enjoy film nights together in a cosy atmosphere with a large smart TV, or snuggle up by the fireplace after long walks. Or perhaps you’re most looking forward to your nightly highlight: the spectacular and romantic sunsets over the Bodden.

The fully equipped country-style kitchen, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a large dining table, is perfect for a delicious family dinner or a hearty holiday breakfast. From the kitchen, you can step out into the garden and onto the south-facing terrace with a view of the Mönchgut Biosphere Reserve.

On this level, there is also a bedroom with two built-in single beds and a smart TV. The adjoining en suite bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet.

Our terraces are furnished from May through October.

UPPER FLOOR—2 BEDROOMS WITH EN SUITE BATHROOMS, SAUNA ROOM WITH SHOWER, WASHER & DRYER, SEPARATE TOILET

Two additional bedrooms await you on the upper floor. Both bedrooms are equipped with a double bed, a smart TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet—one of which also features a bathtub.

For an extra touch of comfort, this level also features a private sauna with an additional shower for cooling off in between sessions.

A small utility area with a washing machine and dryer is also available to you free of charge.

A separate guest bathroom is also located on this level.

DG - 1 BEDROOM

Have you ever slept under a thatched roof? A truly unique atmosphere awaits you in this spacious attic with exposed beams. Here you’ll find the fourth bedroom, featuring a built-in double bed and a smart TV. Start your day with yoga or wind down in the evening with your favourite book in the reading nook. If you can’t quite leave work behind, there’s also a desk available.

OUTDOOR AREA -

2 TERRACES WITH GARDEN FURNITURE, PRIVATE WATER ACCESS, APPROX. 3,000 SQM OUTDOOR AREA, 2 PARKING SPACES FOR CARS WITH A THATCHED CARPORT

The outdoor area has been lovingly landscaped and is surrounded by a Frisian wall with wild roses.

Enjoy the garden with two terraces and outdoor furniture (May–October), including your own beach chair.

Of course, you can also arrive at the SEAside country house with two vehicles. Your car will be safely parked in the thatched-roof carport, right in front of the house.

There is also a place to store your bicycles.

Private access to the Bodden is via a wooden staircase. For your time by the water, a beach chair with loungers is at your disposal.

The house’s location offers you the opportunity to hike or bike in the nature reserve, or use the private Bodden access for water sports.
