"Good hotel in the middle of town but needs a few bits of maintenance (e.g. leaking shower doors) and a few more members of staff. The restaurant was good with reasonbably priced meals although the chef needs to tone down the use of olive oil on the fish dish as it was swimming in it, and also learn the difference between saignant and bien cuit as my saignant steak was almost trop cuit! The main issue was the breakfast as a party of 40 Dutch tourists decended on the restaurant before checking out at 0900. When the few other guests arrived there were no clean tables and no food left. Understandable but what was incredible was that the young wonan in charge of breakfast was on heer own and overwhelmed. To her credit, once I'd alerted the lone receptionist to this she came and pitched in, as did the guests, setting tables etc. but that was areal failur of management. Why 5* then? Because it has potential and was perfect for our overnight stay with secure parking and (eventually) a great breakfast. If i'd been there for a week I'd probably have dropped it a star or two."

"The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff both welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent with vast grounds a swimming pool and extensive outside terraces. Dinner was good (perhaps not Michelin standard) and a good selection at breakfast. Bedroom was of a good size and excellent bathroom facilities all in good condition and very clean, efficient and quiet air-conditioning if required. The windows offer pleasant views across the estate and countryside though they are very high up so small children would not be able to see out. Easy parking directly in front of the building and good access to the room. All in all can thoroughly recommend."

"Très bel hôtel, bien placé, avec un parking facile d'accès. La piscine est top et bien entretenu dans un parc magnifique. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propre. Seuls bémols peut être : pas de clim ni de frigo dans la chambre, ça peut être compliqué l'été (mais ils nous avaient mis un ventilateur). Et il faut réserver le restaurant au plus tard la veille mais carte indisponible en ligne et dommage que pour 2 personnes on nous refuse l'après midi pour le soir... Sinon personnel très gentil et accueillant et cadre magnifique à 2 pas du Puy du fou (15min)"
