Great lake week

Had a fabulous time with our family and adult children. Great location on the lake. Spent our time hanging out on the dock and deck, and playing pool and foosball in the basement at night.

Scenic Lake Getaway

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at this property. Anne quickly responded to all questions we had. The quiet neighborhood location was just what we were looking for and the view of the lake from this home is lovely!

Wonderful, would vacation here again

We really enjoyed our vacation here. We would vacation in this home again. It is well, equipped, clean, beautiful view, and lots of natural light. It was an ideal spot for all of our fun activities… Biking, hiking, kayaking, and dog walking. The owner, Anne was very responsive.

Amazing Vacation!

SML is our absolute favorite place to be and spending a week in this beautiful house made our vacation even better! Every room was perfectly decorated and made us feel like we were at home. Plenty of games and room to spread out for everyone! There were clear instructions for check in and check out and our host was quick to respond with any questions we had. We hope to book again in the future.

Relaxing Dream vacation

Anne is a wonderful renter. The house is very relaxing and plenty of space to have an amazing time with family. Everything is there for you that you would need. Communication about the property is very efficient. This is our second year and we had a memorable time both years.

Lovely home on the water

Well equipped, spacious home with lots of outdoor seating. Lots of outdoor space and seating on porch and on dock. We rented a pontoon boat from one of the neighbors and had a great day on the lake. Host Anne was very responsive to questions.

Smith Mt. Lake Waterfront

Highly recommend this property for any season! The property was exactly as described. It was very clean and well stocked. The host was extremely helpful and responsive to the few minor questions and issues we had, even though it was Christmas weekend! Great docks, terrific stone fireplace inside and firepit outside, wonderful neighborhood.

Fabulous Stay

The house and location are wonderful. We arrived to a super clean vacation rental, with all the amenities you could ask for. The owners checked in with us and answered all of our questions very timely. I cannot recommend this property enough, we were so lucky it was available the week we were looking to visit SML. The property is close enough to the Food Lion, fishing on the dock is super fun for the kids. We brought our own pop up canopy for the deck to have a bit more shade and to enjoy sitting outside on the few rainy days we had.

Quiet Retreat

Our family of 4 (two toddlers) really enjoyed our stay in this home located on a quiet cove. The house was clean and had more than enough room for us. The views from the main living area were beautiful. We enjoyed fishing and paddle boarding off the dock, roasting s’mores in the fire pit, and doing puzzles on a rainy day. A beautiful spot to see all the stars at night!! The host was very responsive to any question we had. We hope to stay again!

Funtime with the Fam

This property is a great choice if you have pets and an active family! We had a couple things come up and the host was EXCEPTIONALLY responsive and supportive. It has everything you need for a family and it is a stone’s throw from the marina which is good for boating. My only suggestion is to fix the sliding glass doors so you can use them to go out to the deck. Otherwise this property is a great choice!

Go jump in this lake!

Beautiful property on a quiet cove, favorite parts: spacious, well built dock with chairs and table for hanging out. Water was clean, the perfect temp and best of all you can dive off the dock- very deep! Boat traffic was busy on the lake (Labor day weekend, so was expected). Overall the house had everything we needed for our long weekend with friends - view from the deck is phenomenal & star gazing at night was great w no light pollution ✨ Will definitely return to this property, Anne was a joy to communicate with!

September Visit

This was a track out time for our grandchildren and what a delight it was. The home is the cleanest pet friendly home we have experienced. There are plenty of activities inside and out for everyone and space to spread out and enjoy. We had a nightly fire in the outdoor pit with hot dogs and S'mores. The dock provided nice space for docking our rented boat. The quiet cove was perfect for young ones and older ones to paddle board and swim. Unfortunately the fish were not interested in our varied bait that week. Our host, Anne, is amazing and quickly answered our questions before we arrived. Again, delightful!

Perfect!

We stayed for 1 week. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient. The house was amazing. The views were unbelievable. We couldnt ask for a better property. The one thing that I really appreciated the most about the house itself besides the loaction and views was the space. Usually when you go on a family vacation you’re either sharing a drawer with someone or you dont have enough hangars etc. but in this house there are 3 humungous closets with plenty of hangars and each room has more then enough dresser space. Then add on the fact that you have 3 full bathrooms a hige dining table. 2 huge wrap around couches and chairs to boot. It was peaceful not feeling cramped. Highly reccomend this place.

Love the Lake House

My family and I spent another vacation week at the Peace of Paradise Lake House hosted by Anne. Trying to find time as a family for 3 grown boys with busy careers and one married is impossible except when it comes to the Lake House. I gave them the dates and they made the time to show up. We checked on Friday and by 4:30PM the boat was at the dock and tee times were made for two rounds of golf. We have stayed at the Lake House many times and we have no intention of going to any other location. The house has a warm, inviting, family feel that I haven't found in other places. It's always clean, well maintained and the view of the lake, well, its perfect for that morning cup of coffee. I strongly encourage anyone looking for a great house on a beautiful lake to contact Anne. She will take excellent care of you. My boys are already wanting to plan next year's trip.

Relaxing on the Lake

Our host, Anne was great from the first to the last contact and made the entire process of booking so easy to complete. It's increasing difficult for our family to spend time in one place, but when I told our boys where my wife and I were going, all three made time to join us. My family and I could not have picked a better house or location on the lake to stay. The house was extremely clean with crisp linens on each bed and clean towels waiting. The interior is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone to relax with the game room downstairs witnessing some epic family pool matches that reminded my adult kids of when they were young. The outside deck is large and was my favorite spot to drink my morning coffee looking at the lake. We rented a 24 ft. tri-toon and enjoyed cruising, fishing and swimming in the lake. The boat dock made docking very easy and convenient. I highly recommend Peace of Paradise in Moneta, VA and our host Anne. I know my family and I will be going back very soon. Not many places can exceed your expectations, but this house on Smith Mountain Lake certainly did for us.

The lake was beautiful and the location was wonderful. The home was clean and inviting and it was great to be able to bring the dogs. We loved having all the great water toys available to us. We rented a boat and it was nice to be able to have it right at the dock. The downside was the exterior maintenance.

We loved our stay at Smith Mountain Lake! The house was in the perfect location for swimming, tubing, kayaking and easy boat access, with the marina conveniently close by. It was the perfect size and had all the amenities we needed. Anne was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, though the bedrooms and living areas could use a bit more attention from the cleaning crew. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay!

SML Getaway

Great home, lots of room on the dock. Deep clean water. Great for swimming, fishing or just floating around. Nice neighbor, plenty of parking and plenty of floats for the lake.
