"Nice quant property, nice views, well maintained property…nice decor with a nice coastal vibe. Very nice staff! Very welcoming! Room was a bit smaller than expected. Clean… The heat was on and couldn’t get the ac running. It was too hot for us to sleep well even when we lowered the temperature as low as possible. We had to open the window which felt a little unsafe since the balconies are not separated by a full wall. The balconies attached to rooms have half walls but really not private… unfortunately. Great access to the town within walking distance."
"Rooms need more light. Close the curtains for privacy and it’s so gloomy in the rooms. Bathroom outdated and barely warm water for a shower. Breakfast included was average. Coffee was terrible. Not close to anything- have to drive to be downtown. Really only paying for the view which was not all that… tides were low and lots of sea grass."
"Everything exceeded our expectations. Property was very well kept, and the Inn Keepers were very attentive and friendly, as well as provided good recommendations for the area.
The breakfast the next morning was exceptional - we did not expect such a great breakfast (e.g, Belgian Chocolate waffles, fruit, as well as oatmeal with fresh fruit and a granola/muesli type topping (plus coffee, juices, sausages..).
We ate breakfast outside overlooking the water.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"
"I’ve stayed here multiple times and always had a great experience — the location alone keeps me coming back. That’s what made this visit so disappointing.
The floor in our room was visibly dirty. My daughter walked barefoot and her feet were black. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly in some time.
Boothbay has limited affordable options, and this place has real potential. But cleanliness isn’t a luxury — it’s a baseline. I hope management takes this seriously, because I’d genuinely like to return."
