Montefalco Pet-friendly Hotel

"Very welcoming check in., large bedroom, seperate dining room / kitchen. shower room. About 20mins from the centre of Montefalco. I bit longer going back as it is then all uphill."

""La collina" in the hotel name means "hill" and with this you end up with a great view from your balcony. "B&B La Collina del Sagrantino" is a recently built 2006 family villa with a flair of ancient architecture. The staff is composed of the owner family. The son, Stefano, and his mother greeted us when we arrived in the evening. They are quite friendly and provided us with a wealth of information. For the first morning we were provided free breakfast items to get us started....

"This beautiful property set in the Umbrian countryside is the ideal base for exploring the gorgeous hill towns of Umbria. The rooms are large and elegant with balconies overlooking the pool and gardens with beautiful trees in the foreground and villages and churches beyond. The restaurant serves marvelous food and has a great wine list. We had four superb days here and highly recommend it to everyone. "

"Be prepared to pay your bill at the end of your stay at this stay instead of it being handled by hotels.com. We were a little disappointed to find out the restaurant at the site was closed and had to travel by car to get dinner and wait until serving time at 7pm. Traveling back in the dark to this location wasn’t the easiest for us. We accidentally booked for 1person which we were made aware of at the start but not told that we would be charged more money than the reservation booked at $71 and...

"Wonderful stay, friendly staff, beautiful hotel, fabulous breakfast (especially breakfast staff!). We are a bit hot natured & could not get our room to cool down even with the windows open. With no top sheet the comforter added more heat so our sleep was not the best. Comfortable otherwise."
