Great experience, host was very responsive and helpful the whole trip. Very clean house, the hot tub was our favorite part as well as the dock and view. Would 100% come back, no complaints at all. Thanks for your hospitality and beautiful house.

Paradise on the lake
We were looking to bring our boat and have a great few days with our friends. We were not disappointed with this house that has a great location and many amenities. We especially liked that each of our 3 couples had their own large bed and bathroom. The hosts were amazing in helping us get access to the Walden boat ramp. Will definitely be back.

Large Family Thanksgiving
It’s was a lot of space for my family , my parents and my brothers family to stay , visit , cook and play. Everything was perfect. We will be renting this place again ! Double ovens were helpful with cooking for Thanksgiving! Nothing negative at all to say! This place has lots of space outdoors, large patios , big bedrooms , game-room with 2 futons to sleep on , big kitchen, huge eating space. The Hot tub was a bonus! This is a BIG house ! You won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful lake home. Very clean. Comfortable beds. For some there are many stairs which may be a challenge, but if you can navigate those, it’s a wonderful place to stay.

Fantastic Lakeside Stay

Evidently it is a good spot that the fishermen know about because many of them hang out along the shore.

Texas Get Away
Everything was in working order except for the grill which had a critter living in it. Bottom full of droppings so didnt want to use. There are some great restaurants in the area so didnt really affect our plans. Enjoyed the stay.

I was horrified to hear about the critter. We try very hard to keep everything clean. I have regular quarterly pest control inside and out and even have a missing system to keep spiders away. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay despite the mystery guest in the grill!

Great relaxing property
The pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful home with well stocked kitchen supplies. Great lay out of the home. Had difficulty getting the hot tub to a desired temperature. The check out process was a bit laborious on the guests. (Having to wash a load of towels and having to wait to put them in the dryer). Other than that we loved our stay!

Relaxing Family Getaway!
Our extended family was looking for a place to gather for a weekend together. The kids were interested in fishing, so we thought a lake would be a great choice. This house was PERFECT! The communication was phenomenal- friendly and speedy. The house was located in a quiet neighborhood away from noise. The backyard was huge, and the view was stunning!!! We loved this house because it had two master suites, as well as two separate ‘gather’ areas so that we could spread out. There was a table that was perfect to set up a puzzle, and the kids played upstairs so much! Everything was clean and well organized. The instruction binder made everything so easy and stress free for us. And our favorite feature was the enormous and clean hot tub! This house was the perfect background to a wonderful weekend reconnecting with family, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!!!

Beautiful Home on the Lake
We stayed here for my son's wedding to be close to the venue. The home was perfect for our large group. Very comfortable and extremely well stocked. The owners are very sweet and were happy to make suggestions for restaurants close by for the rehearsal dinner, etc... very quick to communicate. We definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice relaxing time on the lake. We will be back when it's warmer and will bring our boat and enjoy the lake! A big thank you to the Ditmore's (especially you Marlene!) for being such wonderful hosts and for sharing your lovely home with us during this very special time for our family. We made some wonderful memories there!

Amazing lake view, spacious home
Weekend stay for 3 couples for a wedding at nearby. Plenty of room; we enjoyed time on the dock, multiple decks, kitchen/dining and den. Perfect Getaway
We rented this property to celebrate with the family, the last part of a surprise birthday for my husband. The house is very spacious, and it was perfect for the 11 of us. The views are beautiful and the location was perfect. Very close to Margaritaville and marina ( where we rented a boat and jet skies) . Kitchen very well equipped and also there are games for entertainment. The decks outside are very nice. The only thing that I will bring up ( not a negative comment, but a note) is that if you have elderly parents or little kids you have to be careful with the many steps all over the house. Two bedrooms have steps going down as soon as you open the bedroom door ( normally you will not expect this) and in the outside deck coming out of back door and the deck having different levels and steps, you just need to be very careful. We had some water pressure issues, but the owner was going to address that. Overall, I definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful house. Thank you Marlene for letting us rent your beautiful house and relax in Lake Conroe after our trip from Europe. Many blessings.

Perfect big family gathering place
Magical! Our extended family gathered everyone together for the first time ever arriving in Houston from places all over the country for a wedding. Our elders loved the first-floor master bedroom where they could avoid too many stairs, have quiet a bit and relax in the sitting areas in the room. We had 3 children under 3 for various times and but for the stairs it would pretty darn perfect for them with a crib and highchair available. There are multiple connected but separate areas to sit together so everyone was able to have real connecting conversations 1:1 or in small clusters without navigating a big noisy crowd. Seeing adult grandchildren really connecting with their grandparents and also cousins they have barely known was such a gift and the lay-out really fosters that. There are 3+ great outside place, including 2 with huge fans to endure the heat. Inside there are at least 3 options for playing games and eating. The huge lawn was a great tumble spot for the toddlers and we played lots of cornhole together too. Comfy beds everythere, fluffy towels, excellent signage and a book with information. We'd recommend this home to anyone!! Every person who stayed remarked more than once that it was "perfect" for us and, most importantly, our 80+ yr old parents/grandparents were comfortable and truly able to engage and make memories.

Family Reunion at Lake House
Beautiful setting for a relaxing reunion with multiple generations under one roof. Lake views are abundant with large decks and windows. Gorgeous sun rises in the morning and nicely shaded yard / decks in the afternoon. Our college aged kids enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub. Beautiful home, had fully stocked kitchen with all the comforts of home, including cookware, bakeware, servingware, nice ice maker, coffee pot, toaster, etc.... Just bring the food. Nice grill available on the patio, although we didn't use it. Great access for boating or kayaking. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock. The property sit just inside a no wake zone, at the opening to a cove. Steps from the dock give easy access for swimming as well. I'm not too sure how deep the lake is right off the dock (I had no desire to touch the bottom... ), but water was well over our heads just a few feet off the deck. The house had great open areas for spreading out during the heat of the day, although it was hard to stay off the deck due to the lovely view. High speed internet worked well for one of us who was taking virtual summer classes. Hosts were very responsive to our questions. Upstairs bathrooms were a little tight, and I think one of the beds (bunk room) was actually double bed rather than queen sized, but very comfortable. Bedrooms were spacious. Our college aged kids were too long for the bunk beds (probably better for younger kids or small adults), but the futons in the upstairs common room were very comfortable for sleeping. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property and the hosts, and would love to stay again in the future.

Beautiful home, but hot tub was green
This was a beautiful home in a lovely setting on the lake. The whole reason we rented this home was because it had a hot tub. The hot tub was green upon arrival. We used it for a bit the first night, but it was unusable by the second day. Huge disappointment.

For anyone reading this review I hope you'll check past reviews and see that I have never had any such complaint about the hot tub before and I rarely have any issues with our wonderful guests. We try our very best to have everything in great condition for each group. and I have the hot tub professionally cleaned every week. This complaint is only partially valid. For some reason, It was indeed off-color after the previous guests departure at 11AM. We had 5 hours to clean and shock it before these next guests arrived at 4PM the same day. I apologized to the guest because it truly did not have time to return to normal before their arrival BUT the hot tub was back to normal within 24 hours!
