Lovely, large place

Our group of friends loved the property and the grounds. The pool and tennis court are great, and we loved our morning jogs through the surrounding forests. A great place if you like a remote break with friends

Lovely big house

The house is just like in the photos, although they don’t really do it justice. We all had a fabulous time, there was enough of everything - from generous size mugs to plates and outdoor chairs. The house was lovely and cool inside, even though it was fairly hot outside. The pool was brilliant, with half of it at a great depth for the 4 year olds, and the deep end was still good for adults jumping in. The space around the house made it feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but the villages are still nearby. There were clear skies for stargazing, and our visit coincides with the peak of a meteor shower. Stephanie and David were lovely hosts, they were there to help you when you needed but not giving around getting in your family holiday. Overall, excellent.

We've just returned from fabulous week here. There were 16 of us, it's a lovely secluded spot.Private pool was the making of the holiday, clean and plenty of high quality sun loungers.The house is clean, very spacious with a bit of quirkiness but its full of character.Stephanie was super helpful and easy to communicate with.

Birthday Party at the Lodge

Terrific property to celebrate any occasion with a large group. There were 10 of us and everyone enjoyed the peaceful location and hikes in the woods. Ideal location to visit the Loire Château sites and the many tasting rooms at local vineyards. Highly recommended for in house meals and garherings around the fireplace in the evenings.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich, direkt vor Ort und immer ansprechbar. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geräumig und bietet viel Platz für große Gruppen. Der Pool ist neu gemacht und war das Highlight für die Kinder. Auch die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt. Man ist ungestört und hat die Natur um sich. Wer will kann angeln, Tennis spielen, wandern oder Vögel beobachten. Man erreich innerhalb von 30-60min die bekanntesten Schlösser Frankreichs, die letzte Ruhestätte von DaVinci und vieles mehr. Es war ein erholsamen und aufregender Aufenthalt zu gleich. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Merveilleux séjour en Touraine

7 couples de soixantenaires dans une maison immense, des chambres spacieuses avec de très grands lits et salle de bain et toilettes, tout le matériel pour un w.e. parfait. A moins de 20km nous avons pu visiter chateaux, zoo, marchés... Lorsque nous n'etions pas en deplacement, la maison fraiche et la piscine nous attendaient. Les hotes étaient en permanence disponibles et efficaces. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit !

Fantastisch huis op een geweldige locatie

We verbleven met twee gezinnen (10 volwassenen en 2 kinderen in het jachthuis met bijgebouw. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het ligt op een prachtige locatie, dichtbij een kasteel dat leuk was om te bezoeken! Ook de wijnlocaties in de buurt zijn aan te raden. De kastelen verdienen een speciale vermelding: er zijn er zoveel. In eerste instantie zouden we met 14 verblijven in het huis, maar een paar weken voor onze vakantie bleek dat we met 12 zouden zijn. De chat functie VRBO reageerde helaas niet op de vraag of dit gewijzigd kon worden. Ook op andere vragen t.a.v. het contract gaven zij geen antwoord. De website van VRBO suggereert namelijk dat een aantal zaken als schoonmaak en linnengoed bij de prijs zijn inbegrepen, maar werden alsnog in rekening gebracht. Afgezien daarvan hebben we een heerlijke week gehad. Het huis heeft heel veel charme en was perfect voor ons als twee families. Met name omdat er ook een pool huis was met twee slaapkamers, een badkamer, douche en keuken. Kortom: een fantastisch huis op een fantastische plek.

Maison du Cerf is an excellent property with very friendly hosts and met all the differing needs of our family with ages ranging from 18 to 80. The two houses had ample bedrooms for our party of 11 and all the main rooms were nicely furnished with lots of character, and mercifully nice and cool. My only suggestion is that it would benefit from more shade both around the terrace of the main house and around the pool with either some nice trees or large umbrellas, and more comfortable loungers at the pool. Overall it was an excellent place for our family gathering and full use was made of the very good long and deep pool, the tennis court and the table tennis table. We would certainly recommend this place to our friends.
