The staff were very friendly and the rooms are great! I really loved the bunks and the coziness of them. I just wish that my dorm had dishes, cutlery and etc. because there was a kitchen, but nothing in the cupboards. Anyhow, this was my first time at a hostel too and although I only stayed for one night, this experience makes me more open to trying out other hostels. If I am ever back in Montreal, I would be very open to trying this place out again.

I had a 4 bed reservation but didn’t get the women’s room instead got a mix and had 3 guys with me. This was my first time to Montréal and at age 71 this place is more for young people because no elevators going up and down from 3rd floor for me was a chore. Beautiful and clean place to stay for a good price.

Definitely my favourite hostel in Montreal so far. Summer months are best. The duffle bags with bedding and towel at check in is a nice touch to keep things clean and separate. Atmosphere is friendly and bubbly, with well thought out open spaces to relax. Staff are professional, responsive and helpful ( Thank you to the lovely security guys that tried to help me rescue my phone from the washer). Design of the hostel with glass around some of the original architecture was smartly done. The breakfast buffet (albeit at extra cost), jaccuzi and open patio, coin laundry, self serve kitchen, cafetria style dining areas, and club amenities are all great options for the incredible prices. The shared facilities and especially bathrooms are maintained, and provided privacy. And lastly, but more importantly, clear policy rules and social guidelines made my experience feel more at home. 50% of Staff Need Attitude Change Towards Clients

Good hotel style hostel in Montreal. 3 blocks from the metro. Decent facilities. Paid underground parking is $20, nice and secure. Rooms are modern, clean, quiet. Breakfast buffet in the cafe is a good deal for $9. Biggest problem is 50% of the staff’s lack of genuine caring about the visitors. If overall customer service attitude were to change, I would highly recommend the M. I do recommend it, just be ready to run into these types of employees.
