The room climate was hard to control as there was no remote control available. The room was spacious with high ceilings so overall not too stuffy. Having a kitchen and laundry facilities was a bonus. Easy to chat on the app with any queries. Best location to explore the city.

When we first got into the flat and saw the earplugs and sleep sound machine we were curious. Soon thereafter, we understood. Perpetual noise from the adjacent gym was rough. The earplugs and sleep sound machine we're helpful. Otherwise, the flat was terrific. Thanks for the stay.

Noisy, disco next door until 3:00 am big booming bass, shower head we tied up with plastic and rubber bands, floor not clean. Entry door to building needs to be fixed. Maintenance Manager had trouble opening main entry door. Nice layout great bed, kitchen good, shower base very slippery, no rails to hold on to.

The location was perfect, the facilities were good. The unit was spacious. We asked for a quieter room, they give us exactly that, but has no view at all, no direct light, the apartment was very dark, but we were okay with it, since we can at least have a good sleep. However, at the start we had problem to get into the building with the code they've sent us. There are some other people were blocked out while we were, we were all frustrated when you can get into the building after a long train ride, and some people needs to go to their room for the toilet. Since there were no receipt , we texted hotel through chat and customer service number, it took a long time for the help to come. Worst still on the last day before checking out, we decide to go out around 8:30am to have some coffee and breakfast. We can't back in to our room at 10am with the room code we previously used and worked. After trying many times, we again texted and called the company, they said they thought we've check out, so they've reset the code, even though the official checking out time was 11am. It took half an hour for us to get back in our unit "with they help", we were desperate for the toilet, packing and clean up, then heading to the train station for our train departure around11:50am. It was madness. This place has given us more frustration than any place we've stayed.

We were very comfortable for our two nights at the Sonder, which was clean and quiet, and well equipped. Our only minor quibble is that the curtains allowed a bit of outside light into the apartment.

There wasn't much variety in grocery shopping but it's was very nice to have the option of eating in. There could have been more spices besides little packs of salt and pepper. It was very helpful to do a load of laundry. Once we figured out the Chromecast TV that was okay. We enjoyed the more homey atmosphere compared to a hotel. Beautiful city.

We stayed in a studio apartment for just one night before heading off on a cruise. The units have an industrial feel and all the comforts required, including a well-appointed kitchen plus washer and dryer. The beautiful old-town area is very accessible by foot, along with the port. We later returned to Montreal and stayed in a hotel a few streets away (Monville), but I much preferred this property. It's worth noting there's another Sonder in Montreal that's even closer to the port.

Pros: Loved the check in process being online. We arrived at the hotel and just went straight to our room. The room was very clean and had nice amenities. Location was close to the Old Port so shops, restaurants, and pubs were all within a short walk. Price was better than a standard hotel. This type of room is good for both short and long stays. Cons: The beds were not the most comfortable. While the location is in a great spot, it’s a high traffic area and can be noisy late at night.

My stay at Sonder Penny Lane was fantastic! It was conveniently located near the metro station and lots of dining options and cafes. The unit itself was clean and comfortable and the design with the exposed brick really gave that European vibes.
