The back yard has a huge privacy fence, a nice fire pit, even tiki torches- all combined it made for perfect evenings sitting outside visiting. "It was our own fishing camp without camping. It was so nice to grill our catch and sit in the twilight listening to the frogs and crickets in. A beautiful time that we will never forget. Owner was super thoughtful, the house was stocked for comfort and the neighborhood was quiet and safe."

"Great location, house was thoroughly clean and beautifully arranged. Would be perfect location for downtown New Iberia festivities. Parking is convenient but a little tight if you have a big vehicle. I understand it’s an alley so it can’t be helped, I’m just saying if possible, try to visit in a smaller-sized vehicle. Overall the house and hosts are 10/10 and we hope to visit again!"

"Legit 3 bedroom/2 bath house. Well stocked with dishes/utensils/grills/boiling pots etc. The screened front and back porch were our favorite places - north wind one evening made north side a little cool. House is (of course) elevated with very relaxing views of the marsh/Vermillion Bay on north-west side or the woods on the other side. Nice trees with lots of Spanish moss added to it all. Very peaceful and restful for my wife and me. Mosquito repellent is a necessity once outside the screen...

"Great stay in Thibodaux for Christmas to visit family. The home is older and rustic, with lots of character and many original features. We looked it up and found it to be built in 1908. It was VERY clean, nicely decorated and filled with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen has everything you need. Plenty of extra towels and bedding. Nothing was cheap, like you find in many rentals. The host was great to communicate with and answered any questions I had before and during the...
