All I expected and more. Huge, clean room with kitchenette, washing machine, very friendly and helpful owners and a super-nice dog.

The room was a bit grubby (especially the fridge which had not been cleaned), and definitely needs some upgrades. Some resident locals seem to have taken over the hostel (being loud in the corridor and sort of dominating the communal spaces). There was no backpacker vibe at all.

Wonderful stay. The house is central and an easy drive to everything the area has to offer. Lots of thoughtful extras, e.g. beach gear and dog bowls. Will defintely be back, thanks Elise!

Visit to Split Apple Rock Beach was beyond excellent; Great walk to Harwoods Hole, although the drive to the car park was a bit taxing and the hole itself is a little underwhelming. Local fruit orchards and hop fields were good to see.
Not a lot happening in Motueka, but very handy for access to Abel Tasman NP
