Bar Harbor stay

This property is very nicely situated close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park . The property has been updated and is very cozy. The family really enjoyed the nightly bond fires . We would definitely stay here again .

Excellent Location!!!

We came up for the week of the 4th of July! The house is centrally located and was so easy to get everywhere on the island! The accommodations and amenities were great! It was very clean and overall a wonderful place to stay! The yard is great too with a fire pit for s'mores and a picnic bench for outside dining! We had lots of deer visiting. This house was perfect for our family and we can't wait to come back!

Perfect spot on Mt Desert Island

Our family of four (all adults) enjoyed the space and convenience of this house for a recent vacation. Oven and fridge seemed new, bathrooms were nicely updated, kitchen was charming and very functional, and everything was very clean. Check in couldn’t have been easier. Bedrooms were small but great and with fans and an a/c unit in one bedroom we were able to cool down the upstairs on warm nights. Location was ideal. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and our dog really enjoyed watching the deer through the windows! Would recommend this property!

Cozy cottage

This house was perfect! Great location and centrally located. Kitchen was fully furnished and bathrooms were stocked. There’s a great sitting area outside and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather. This house also has a great kitchen table to gather at. There’s also 2 showers which makes it great for multiple people. Full size washer and dryer was a bonus! Wonderful stay. We will be back!

Overall great home and location Bedrooms were pretty tight quarters There were rails you could add to the bunk bed which was helpful. It was verrrrry warm in the bedrooms the first two nights we were there even with fans and windows open. Stairs are pretty steep and overall may not be the most small child friendly home if you’re planning to spend a decent amount of time there. We have a crawler and he found lots of things on the floor from the guests before us (popcorn, etc) The water pressure was also not the greatest. Great kitchen space and loved having room at the table for everyone to sit and eat.

Peaceful cozy cottage

We recently escaped to Maine to enjoy the fall colors. This house was the perfect peaceful resting place for our family. We loved the location. Situated right outside the quaint village of Southwest Harbor, we had easy access to restaurants and shops without the crowds of Bar Harbor. Naturally there were endless hiking options nearby. The house itself is quaint and cozy - which really make us feel like we were escaping it all! It was fun to see deer in the yard as well as lovely views. The home is well appointed and clean. The stairs are steep, so be aware if anyone in your party has trouble navigating them. We liked that the house had a plug in option for our electric vehicle since there are no charging stations on the island!

Good experience, with just a few small issues

This historic house is cool and updated, with a nice yard and fire pit for time spent at the house. The location is also convenient, though on the ¨quiet¨side of the island. When we were there, the shower heads and the kitchen dishes needed updating.

Great house for Mt Desert Island

House was a perfect size for our family of four adults. Plenty of space to relax after a busy day exploring the area. Dog was happy watching the deer walk through the yard and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well. Oven and fridge seemed new, kitchen and bathrooms were updated nicely. Bedrooms small but really for a vacation home they were just right! Would recommend this property!

Perfect Location for Family

Stayed with extended family and the house was perfect. Close to the best of Southwest Harbor and only a short distance from the National Park. We really enjoyed the house and the amenities and the location was perfect as we dodged rain storms between hikes and site seeing.

Cute place to stay

Really cute home. Cozy foe out family of 4. Not far from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We saw a couple of deer outside the house on our first morning there. The stairs are steep and all sleeping accommodations are on the second floor, so keep that in mind when booking for anyone with limited mobility. The coffee maker didn't work which was a bummer for someone who needs thier am caffeine.

Awesome stay

Enjoyed our Stay!

The property met our needs very nicely. We wanted a place close to Acadia and Bar Harbor so we could drive back and forth easily. We made use of the laundry and kitchen and found both to be nicely equipped. It was very convenient to have two bathrooms! We enjoyed sitting outside in the lawn chairs during a sunny afternoon and one evening around the firepit.

Good location cottage

Our family of five had a wonderful time on Desert Island and Acadia. This cottage is a good location near the center of the island. We really enjoyed Southwest Harbor. A much quieter area with some shops and good restaurants. The house was comfortable, but it was hot when we were there. More AC units would have been nice. Also a larger TV would have been appreciated especially during the Olympics. Overall, I would recommend this cottage.

Very nice home

Nicely decorated, cute little home in southwest harbor. It has everything we needed. Very clean. Squeaky floors upstairs, but it didn't bother us. 20 minute drive to bar harbor, which is where all the actions at. Staying here, away from the crowds was nice. Great pizza at west eden, just a short drive away. Weather didn't allow us to grill out and eat outside, but we definitely would have if we we could have. This is a great place to stay.

Perfect for us!

This cottage was in the perfect location to explore Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and all of Mount Desert Island. Everywhere we visited was just a short drive back after long days. The cottage was clean and comfortable with basic amenities. We enjoyed the use of the charcoal grill, fire pit and lobster pot! We had a fantastic stay and would recommend staying here.

Great Stay

It was very welcoming home that had a large dining table to play games and eat as a family. All the light switches were labeled which made it really easy to know what you were turning on. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy the great outdoor seating and fire pit. The bath rooms were large with plenty of storage. There were plenty of towels and places to hang those towels. It was nice having the washer and dryer especially after hiking in Acadia. It was a short drive to Bar Harbor, Acadia and Southwest Harbor. We did the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain so the short drive was very much appreciated. Our only challenge was that our elderly parents had trouble with the stairs and our tall nephew had to duck when coming down the stairs. It was a very comfortable stay that we will enjoy again. We didn't get to spend a lot of time in this area.
