“Going to Mount Dora, this place is a must stay. It's a historic hotel so keep that in mind. The toilet is really small and the bathroom is that of a Hotel built in the last century. It all adds to the charm of this beautiful and historic place. Only bad thing I would say is that they should invest in better beds. The place is beautiful, unique, authentic, and definitely the place you want to stay at if you are visiting Mount Dora for the first time. The restaurant was very good and the staff was……

“The room was fine - quaint and charming but the cleaning crew used pine sol to clean and it was super overwhelming - no windows to open so the air lingered throughout the night and gave us slight headache. I would recommend a different more gentle cleaning option for the room - even bleach would not have lingered all night. Great walking distance from downtown. ”

“Found hair and things in the beds and room, that seems as though the cleaning staff was not super thorough. It may have even been their hair that fell out when changing the beds, but still gross. Overall, the property was OK for a night. It is right next to I-4. There are plenty of restaurants and things close by. Main street is about 10 minutes away. ”

“Absolutely charming, nostalgic mom’n’pop hotel. Right in the river. We sat, drank our coffee, and watched the boats pass from our porch. The room wasn’t large but wasn’t small either. It’s an older property but the room was neat, clean, and nicely updated. Bed was comfortable and we had no problems at all. Ms Carol and the staff were warm and friendly and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Perfectly out of the way and peaceful but with plenty of options for enjoying the river. We’ll be back!”
