Rustic Lakefront Cabin with Bonus 'Tree House' - A Place to Unwind

"Location, location, location... This is one of my families favorite rentals we've ever booked. The location on Lake Sutherland cannot be beat. Simply beautiful. It is in a good location to visit several Olympic NP areas, such as Sol Duc Falls, Lake Crescent, and Hurricane Ridge. It is also close enough to Port Angeles to run and get groceries and supplies if needed. The cabin itself was a bit smaller than I anticipated but it was not an issue with our family of four. The treehouse was fun for our young adult children to sleep in. We kayaked and swam in the clear blue and chilly lake. We had ducks visit us on the deck and saw river otters playing on the swim platform next door. The only two negatives I can think of are, the small refrigerator in the kitchen doesn't seem to cool very well, and the path to get down to the cabin is pretty precarious. If you are an older person with mobility issues it may be difficult. We did not want to leave this cabin."

"We flew in from Massachusetts to meet up with friends in Seattle and explore Olympic NP for the first time, and we loved staying here! We got a warm welcome - there was a doe and her fawn peacefully grazing in the front yard when we arrived, and inside there was a thoughtful basket of goodies and note from our hosts. The house itself was everything we needed during our stay: comfortable, quiet, relaxing, and well equipped. We loved being surrounded by nature, sitting on the deck with our morning coffee and evening cocktails. The kids loved seeing wildlife, playing the on-site games, and we all enjoyed the hot tub after long days of hiking in ONP. We would definitely recommend staying here - thanks for a great visit!"

"This was the perfect location for our northern Olympics base camp! The setting is serene and private. Property was beautiful and well maintained. Less than 20 minutes from Mt storm king trailhead. We loved hanging out on the dock after a long morning of hiking. It was the perfect recharge after a week of traveling!"

"The location was outstanding. The cabin does have 2 futons in addition to the bed in the bedroom, so each of my kids could have their own bed. There was also a Blackstone complete with propane tank so we could cook outside on the deck! There is a General Store just down the road in case you need an item and don’t want run into Port Angeles for it. We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again!"

"The property is cute and reminded us of our travels in southern Bavaria. It’s more like a guesthouse than an inn. Walls are a little thin, but guests were mostly observant of the rules. The countryside is beautiful and was a blessing to see the resident deer greeting us on our arrival."
