The staff was very friendly. The lobby was so nice and very clean. The room was dirty. The sheets had an odd smell and the bathroom was just not clean. The shower was gross bad the water did not drain properly. The restaurant attached to the hotel is great. Lobby and restaurant get 5 stars the room two.

The building is a bit old and tired. Room was clean but no soap other than shower gel for the bathroom sink. Exercise room was adequate. Breakfast also adequate. Front desk staff did a good job. Stay was “meh”.

Pass through regularly and didn't think to stop in Mt. Vernon. This was an excellent stay and most importantly there was a real breakfast, real bacon, real eggs - best breakfast offered by a hotel in a while.

Room was very dark, 2 lights were out, there were spiderwebs above the desk lamp. The add on breakfast for $6 was great. The bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant. All in all its a decent stay. We were just there over night, it had parking for our trailer, which was a plus.

Great staff, very friendly. The warm cookies were excellent. However the rug in our room badly needed cleaning. The drain in our shower was very slow and there was a previous guests half drunk bottle in the fridge. On the plus side the bed was clean and comfortable and we were able to sleep well.
