Bed is at end of life, very soft with a hollow in middle, some areas of home were not cleaned well, bed base dusty dirty( what was visible beside mattress), bedside table wasn’t clean. Dishes put away by prior guests were dirty.I couldn’t adjust my heat, got a bit warm. This is the basement and there was significant creaky stair noise above the bed. “The view was gorgeous, and the house had everything we needed. You don’t have to drive far to hike some truly fabulous Oregon forests. The only drawbacks were that there is no dishwasher, no disposal, and the water tasted and smelled like sulfur. It was pretty intense. However, we tried to stay out in the gorgeous forests more than the house so it was a perfect homebase. We really appreciate the proximity to Mount Hood and the giant TVs for when our leg muscles wanted to give out. Thanks……

It was perfect -- quiet, clean, and cozy, with friendly chickens in the backyard there to greet him when he walked by -- but I think it was the record player and Ray Charles records in the home which charmed him the most.
