Staff is amazing! Expedia sold me an accesible room that was not actually available, the staff did their best to address my need. Hot breakfast is wonderful. Closeness to Ball State, stores and restaurants is convenient. Hotel was a Holiday Inn Express but is in process of changing. It’s an older hotel but again the staff are doing everything possible to give the customer the best experience possible. I had called a couple days ahead to confirm fragrances/plugins aren’t hidden in the rooms. I was assured they weren’t. Regarding the accesible room, I now know to call ahead to check my booking or book directly w/ the hotel to make sure I’m getting the room I need.

Upon arriving, no pool and no hot breakfast. All under renovation. Staff was friendly. Ask to not be near the front desk and elevators. All the workers are friendly, but loud. One cleaner had her children in the lobby yelling at them and bossing them to help her. You can hear them at midnight and hear them at 6am.

We were a bit sad the pool was unavailable due to construction. There was also a bit of construction noise. The continental breakfast was limited due to the kitchen being closed, also due to renovation construction. However, THE STAFF WAS AMAZING!!!!!! Everyone was so upbeat and friendly! From check in to check out their attitudes were so cheery. I would recommend staying here even if the construction never stopped and the pool never opened. They brought to life the saying that “attitude makes the difference” We loved our stay with them!

I have to start by saying the staff was all amazingly kind, helpful, and joyous. The breakfast was great. Well stocked, with a great selection. The pool is out of commission right now for renovations (which I knew from previous reviews before booking) and the building is nice. Would stay again, esp after it finishes its refresh. My complaint is with Expedia and the hotel booking. So no specific person to blame, but a big big big fail on this systems part. I am a double amputee and wheelchair bound. I booked an accessible room with a roll in shower as I need a larger bathroom to maneuver my wheelchair. Expedia does not guarantee your room type as hotels don’t make the room assignments until the day of. So I have been told in the past to call the property ahead of time 30 min to an hour after booking to confirm the accessible room assignment and assigning of said room type in advance. I did that this trip 4 days in advance. Was told by the front desk younger kid, that “It’s all good man.” Upon my arrival, it was not all good. I was assigned to an upgraded room but STILL no roll in shower or accessible bathroom like I booked AND confirmed with the property in advance. So I got to deal with an upgraded room but still did not get the bathroom I desperately needed. I don’t know what to do and didn’t want to take it out on the person that checked me in because I had no way to confirm which kid I talked to a couple days earlier. Thus this review and rant.

The room was nice, clean and modern. The amenities were not what was advertised. The pool was not open, and the breakfast was far less than what is pictured on Expedia. There should be a way to say on Expedia if the usual amenities are not available.

This hotel is nice. Location is close to university, shopping, restaurants. Has an outdoor patio area to sit at. Pool area and fitness room was nice. Hotel and parking lot was very clean. Staff was wonderful especially Ms Sonda and Ms Jama on the breakfast area. Not only were they both friendly, but both of these ladies kept the food stocked, and the eating area clean.
