Thanksgiving Stay

The property is in very good location very close to the beach within a walking distance. Nice neighborhood very clean and quiet area. Very likely would use it in the future and summer time .

Great place and location was fantastic!

This place was anazing. It was perfect from the bedrooms to screened in porch wgere we spent alot of our time. I lived the back patio for early morning quiet sipping on coffee. The beds were comfortably. All furnishings was great. Will rent again for sure.

Holiday vacation

The property was well kept, overall. The boards were loose on outside stairs and owner said they were going to be replaced. In the meantime we had to be careful which steps we stepped on.The beds slept well. Most of the furniture was worn but it sufficed. The TV’s on the first level didn’t work.

Clean house, great location, friendly owner!

We had a great experience- the house was very nice and clean when we arrived. We loved that there were 2 golf carts included in the reservation- in fact, that was the main selling point for us. The location was great and the listing was very accurate. The owner was friendly and always got back to me in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again!

I wish we could have stayed longer. The golf carts were a great touch. We frequently went to the beach and saw dolphins. Amazing. Owner was great and responsive I want to go back.

Memorial Week

It’s a nice house. The golf carts are nice to get you quickly to the beach. The beach is also a short walk. More details need to be given on how to check in to get the hang tag for the cars and the gate passes. The house could use a few updates but those things don’t take away from your stay. If you have a large group you will need to bring beach towels and chairs.

Great Location

Great location. You can take a very short walk to the beach or take one of two golf carts to a gated beachfront parking lot with restroom. Three community swimming pools with children’s splash pad. We were provided with beach towels and chairs. Our family nine had plenty of room. The owner, Dorothy was very responsive to our needs. We had a great time.

Family Friendly Home

This home was great for our family! We had plenty of room but still had our own spaces to relax and enjoy. The access to the beach made it easy to use the golf carts or even just walk to the ocean. Though parking was limited the overflow lot in the Oceanside Complex is a bonus for the extra cars to park. The screened in porch was wonderful for the morning coffee reflection time and for the night time wind down. The home was has a beachy vibe to it and makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. Thank you for a fabulous stay! Hopefully more to come!

Nice, but not great

The house was in a nice neighborhood, easy to get in and out of the village. Check in was easy.Pools and hot tub were nice as well. The house was more like 2 apartments than one house. They were only connected via stairs that were outdoors. 3 bathrooms for 4 adults for 8 days, and only 3 rolls of TP in the entire house. Only 1 roll of paper towels for the whole house. Golf carts were not plugged in when we got there, and the chargers were left in a plastic bin in the driveway, which had 2" of water in it. We were a little nervous to plug them in to charge after removing them from the water and letting them dry out. There were small maintenance things throughout the property that should be addressed as well. Overall, a good stay, just a few things that we all felt should have been provided and maintained in a better way,.

Great family vacation

After a bit of confusion upon our arrival we had a great trip. Didn’t know how having 2 separate apartments would work out but it was fine. Most of our time when we weren’t enjoying the beach or the pools we all spent our time in the upstairs unit. Lower unit was just used for sleeping and the second fridge came in handy. Was nice to have the golf carts.

Great House and perfect location!

We enjoyed our vacation so much! The house offers plenty of space and both floors have their own full kitchen and separate laundry rooms. All appliances working great and we didn’t miss anything. The outdoor furniture on the second floor need some updating but other than that everything was great! The property is just a minute away from the beautiful and very clean beach. We also enjoyed the golf carts to discover the area! The community has a great doggie park and everybody was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you again!!

Great family vacation!

My family and I loved this home! Plenty of room to spread out in including a lovely screened porch where we spent every evening. Dorothy was very easy to communicate with and promptly answered any questions before hand. We had no issues during the week and the home is just like the description. Loved the washing machine/dryer. There were even beach toys/ chairs/ and umbrella. The beach is a very easy walk with a private parking lot for members. We loved using the golf carts to haul our supplies. Great place for kiddos. Everyone is very friendly. I brought the dog and she loved it as well! We definitely would go again.

Great vacation

We loved the location of this property being close to the beach but the BEST thing about it was having 2 golf carts- the pool was far away and the beach was 2 blocks so having the golf carts were wonderful. The only 3 complaints I have is the bathrooms had VERY rusted AC vents and we had a 1yr old new walking baby and his feet got rust on them several times, the upstairs living room furniture was very dirty, and please sharpen or get some new knives for the upstairs kitchen couldn’t find one sharp enough to cut a tomato. It was a good fit for our family

Surfside at Oceanside Village

Location is awesome Minutes walk to the beach. Two golf carts--super handy. House was large-plenty of space to spread out. Homeowner was very easy to communicate with. House could use some updates but not a big deal. Plenty of hot water and laundry works great. We would stay again. Please note: there are extra fees--gate pass $30 USD, Gym pass $30 USD (nominal but good to know). Upstairs and Downstairs are separate units. Screened in porch is lovely. The community seemed very safe and the neighbours were all friendly.

The house was dirty. Electrical outlet didn’t work. Sinks and tubs didn’t drain well. Bugs. Bedroom off the kitchen had lice, luckily we Caught it early. Golf cart had no required sticker. Location gate/security people rude. Dryer doors feel like they are falling off.

Very nice and a great price!

The house is in a great location only a few minutes walk to the beach, but who needs to walk to the beach when you have two golf carts that gets you there in 2 minutes. The golf carts is a great big plus no issues at all. Overall, the house was nice, we were initially disappointed that there wasn't a way to the downstairs apartment without going outside but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The two twin beds in the upstairs bedroom was disappointing, I had the idea to bring the two twin beds together but the room is so small that the door doesn't even open all the way, so bringing them together to make a king wasn't an option maybe two of the three twins downstairs would have worked but we were staying upstairs. It would have been nice to have a full-length mirror in the house. Dorothy was an awesome host; we had a couple of issues, but Dorothy handled each one promptly. There was even an after-hour emergency, but she had someone out there that evening to fix the issue and even had her cleaning lady to come in the next morning to do some cleaning. The hot water is endless we had the washing machine, and the dish washer running and still had plenty of hot water for all 6 of us to take showers. Dorothy even had a propane tank delivered for the grill. For the money it was really nice! We enjoyed our stay! I would recommend this house!

Beautiful upstairs but…

The upstairs portion is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath with screened in patio. Downstairs appeared to be an addition. When you enter there’s 3 twin beds, no entryway just 3 twin beds as you walk in. The king size bed in the bedroom downstairs was horrible, it should really be replaced. We tried to sleep there the first couple of night so we didn’t have to climb stairs but just couldn’t sleep on it. Now let’s talk cleanliness or lack there of. I had white socks on and they were black within minutes of being downstairs. I opened the dishwasher downstairs to load some dishes and the smell was horrific. Not sure what happened there but once I ran it the smell went away. Makes me think someone spilled something in there and it sat for a very long time. The garbage outside was overflowing when we got there and stunk to high heaven. The upstairs was in much better condition however we did see roaches which may have come from the trash outside. The neighborhood was lovely. I would visit the area again but would choose a different house next time.

Our experience at this rental was disappointing, and we left wishing we had booked elsewhere. Most importantly, it wasn’t disclosed that the downstairs is a completely separate unit, only accessible by outdoor stairs. This made it hard for our family to stay connected, especially with a young child, and was a big letdown.The home’s condition was poor—broken closet doors, cabinets that couldn’t open due to poor placement, and sloppy craftsmanship overall. The basement layout was also awkward. One of the “bedrooms” is directly inside the sliding glass entry and overcrowded with furniture. It didn’t feel like a true bedroom at all. Another room (the two twin room) is right off the kitchen and due to furniture layout, you can’t even open the door all the way. We ended up using it as a pantry for snacks and doubled up guests in another room. We also received a violation for using a golf cart with an expired tag, and found a prior guest’s violation left behind—clearly a recurring issue.Parking was another frustration. We had 3 cars and informed the owner beforehand, but weren’t told there weren’t enough spaces. We had to leave one car in overflow parking, only to get a ticket because we didn’t know it needed to be registered with security—info we should have received ahead of time.While the location was fine, the lack of transparency, poor layout, and maintenance issues made this a frustrating stay. We would not rent this property again.

5 weeks snow-birding

The house was spacious but definitely needs some maintenance. Biggest difficulty was lack of timely responses from owner. Upon arrival our access was not ready, and multiple attempts were required to obtain access for people who visited us. A local property manager for this home would help tremendously.
