"This is a great

resort - lovely beach, lazy river, pools galore. We’ve had a great stay and I’d recommend. But, having been to other Shangri-La hotels it doesn’t live up to the same 5 star high quality standards. Service is a little poor, food is overpriced and standards overall not quite as we would have expected for the price. Perhaps Al Husn is a different. "

resort style place in a quiet part of the Muscat city beach zone. There are large hotel grounds with pools and a gym all lacking any type of useful directions. The hotel has placed a large surcharge on local taxi rides and there is no local bus service so transport around the city is expensive. "This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are super helpful. A big shout out to Lucy in the buffet restaurant and the waiter from Mumbai (sorry I have forgotten your name). They both went out of their way to make sure we had everything. "The hotel is located at a beach front. Easy acces to beach and 5 minutes walk to a small mall called Water Front. Grand Hyatt staff is professional and polite at all times. Rooms are clean and well maintained but the mattress and pillows are too soft. Need to change that. Other than that it was a fantastic
