The location is excellent for walking to shops and restaurants with lovely views of the marina outside. The hotel staff were very polite and attentive. The carpets in the room were not so clean. The only criticism.

My 2 night stay was pleasant and I would return for future visits to Muscat. The room was clean and the Marina view was beautiful. I enjoyed the proximity to nearby restaurants and there was no need to leave the area.

Great location, but very much over-priced
Great location in Al Mouj, surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Very comfortable room, but overpriced. Asked for sea view, which OK but was slighlty spoiled by construction in front of the hotel. Long wait for check-in, despite phoning ahead. Took forever to get housekeeping to bring some small items. I don't know why the roof-top pool closes at 6.00pm - just when the sun is setting and you can great views, they start clearing the sunbeds and move you out. Breakfast is fine but be prepared to wait for any cooked eggs. Overall slightly disappointed especially given the cost.

Great location if you looking to do some water based activities like scuba diving. The area is quite upscale so everything costs more. Hotel staff were very courteous and helpful.

Excellent staff, excellent location! Loved our stay here. We came to Oman from all different parts of the world to attend a wedding. We had an amazing reunion staying at the hotel. They were accommodating and the place is located by a beautiful Marina with lots of restaurant options. I highly recommend this place. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice, helpful, friendly, competent staff. Good breakfast. The location is great if you want quiet and upscale. Also if you want close to the airport (not too close, no noise or anything). And it is on a harbor. But it is far away from everywhere else--20 km to the main sights of the city. But for a luxurious but still boutique-y feel, it is great. It's dry, but the Kempinski a short walk away has restaurants with alcohol and bars.

Good Location, but not worth it
While the majority of staff are great, a small handful of the staff were worst than useless. I was told that I could not smoke a cigar in the lounge upstairs because it was for "women and couples only" This is the second time that I have stayed here and both times I feel like I wasted my money.

My booking was during the Cyclone. I evacuated the hotel for 3 days and they refused to give me the refund. They told me to contact Expedia and still expedia is waiting for their reply. Very bad customer service
