Really nice cottage

This is exactly as listed and was a great place. We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone in the area is very friendly and the town has a beach vibe. This was our first visit to Michigan and we will be back!

Great summer vacation spot!

Ed was a great host, and the house was very clean and tidy. I recommend it for any family/guest looking for a place in a quiet community within a 10 minute walk from the beach on Lake Michigan.

Fantastic Location AND Style

This beautifully decorated cottage close to Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake is a wonderful gathering place for an evening of ‘smores in the great fire pit or has plenty of space in the beautifully appointed living room for game night.

Adorable, cozy and quaint!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Red Bird Cottage. It was so quaint and cozy. The owner was very attentive and the home was so clean. It had many amenities that made the house comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and the location was excellent! It made for a memorable family vacation!

Amazing cottage experience

This property had every ammentity imaginable and all very high quality. We loved this place so much that we'll be staying here each summer when we return to Muskegon! Stay here - you won't regret it. It felt like home.

Beach vacation

Well located and convenient house close to Pete Marquette beach, walking or biking distance. Ed provided some bikes and was a great host, also offered kayaks. Muskegon is an under the radar beach town, lots of stuff to do and not as packed as others. Short drive to downtown and more restaurants, nice fire ring there, overall a great time and a great home base.

The location is great! Just a couple minute walk to the beach. Also short drive to downtown Muskegon for brewery/pizza, etc. Accomodations nice. Very clean and comfortable. Nice firepit and grill in the back. They were very accommodating; brought us bikes and were available for any questions or concerns. Would stay again without hesitation.

Comfortable cottage

We were impressed with the house...kitchen and bathroom were nicely supplied and it was perfect for 3 of us The house was very clean, airy, perfect location for walking to the yacht club. The only thing I would say as a warning, and this won't matter to most, but our friend is 6'7", and the charm of the low ceiling upstairs was not so charming for him. Ed was great to work with, everything was in great working order. Would stay again and make time to use the fire pit.

Great Fall Break Destination

Everything described about the Redbird cottage was spot on! We arrived to find a property that overall, was very clean, and inviting. As my caption states, we chose the Redbird to enjoy the start of the Fall season in Muskegon. The cottage was perfect for our family of three. From this location, we were able to travel to some of the areas wine tasting vineyards, and places to eat. We enjoyed watching the Michigan vs. Michigan State football game on the 55" flat screen television! After the game, we were able to go outside to enjoy the fire pit. Jane provided great communication before, during, and after our visit. I would, and already have, recommended this property to some of our friends, and co-workers. We look forward to a possible visit in warmer months, so as to enjoy the lakes, and other warm weather activities.

Everything we expected and more for our time at the beach. We loved being able to walk to the beach and dunes. Rode the bikes on the boardwalk and down to the Deck for dinner and music, We will be back.

Worked well for us, cute house just beware of short ceiling height in bedrooms, for family members over 6 feet was awkward, regardless host and ameniti s very nice would book again.

The street was awful. We had to park down the street. It would have been better if the second bedroom had a bunk beds. The.bean bag was bad and so was the blow up bed to sleep on

Beautiful Cottage, walkable to two lakes

Second Visit to RedBird

We love this place so much we had to come back! The location of the two lakes is a dream come true and Ed is so accommodating and responsive. But most of all, we love the cleanliness of the property. Anniversary Trip

My husband and I vacationed along the MI coast on our honeymoon. So for our 20 year anniversary we chose a long weekend to stay and revisit many of same places and discover some new ones. The neighborhood was quiet and off the beaten path. The manager was very communicative and had great suggestions for activities and restaurants. The location was convenient for explorations of Muskegon, St. Joseph, South Haven, Grand Haven and Grand Rapids. We had a great trip and would stay here again in the future.

Cozy cottage!

Ed was a gracious and helpful host! The house is super close to the beach and we used bicycles that Ed provided to ride the bike trails and go downtown. We had crummy weather but really enjoyed our stay at the Redbird Cottage!
