It was perfect. We were looking for a short get away that provided some fun things to do as a family, but also a quiet place to retreat. That is exactly what the little house offered. We spent hours enjoying the birds both from the window seat in the sunroom and from the back patio with a cup of tea or coffee in hand. There are several bird feeders on the property and if you have a keen eye you'll see humming birds, woodpeckers, nuthatches, sparrows, cardinals, blue jays and more.
The house was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and the towels were soft and plentiful.
Mary responded immediately with answers to any questions we had. She also has the house labeled so you can figure out which light switch turns on which light and where to find everything.
The house is only minutes from Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, Olde Mistick and downtown Mystic, all of which we enjoyed visiting. We also traveled a little further to Niantic to the Book Barn (huge used book store). The only downside was that we had to leave. I would happily return to this little house and bird watching paradise.
