Nabetsuru Rock

The hotel is conveniently located to Hakodate train station as well as the tram stop. Breakfast was excellent even if limited options. The juices were fresh and rich tasting. There were unexpected seafood options such as grilled scallops on my first morning and tuna (maguro) sashimi on my second morning in addition to other Japanese breakfast staples. What was surprising was that sake (!) and ice cream was also available. I would have given the hotel a 5 stars rating if not for the fact the bed had ONE pillow! The first time ever staying at a hotel that did not provide two even if there was only one guest.

Attentive and helpful English speaking staff. Clean quiet rooms good sized rooms. Easy access from the station. Great location for connecting to trams and busses.
