"The room was beautiful with a patio that overlooked the lush hillside. The dining area was pleasant and the food was good. The onsen, however, could stand some refurbishment. The hotel advertises late checkout but I was told that 11:00 am constitutes late checkout. This seems like a bit of a scam to me. Made my departure more rushed than a I planned for it to be."

"Service was excellent. Stayed two nights here and arrived around 6pm on the first day by bus — Heda is a small town so taxis stop very early, I called the hotel and they sent a shuttle to come down and pick us up! They also offer to shuttle you places if you are not able to reserve meals, so if you plan to dine in the hotel definitely try and do it far ahead"

"Clean room, as per the norm for all Japanese hotels. Very modern and spacious room. Great location as you can walk to Atami Station in less than 5 minutes. Because of it's local near Atami Station, you are close to everything - shops, restaurants, transportation, etc. Our room is in the back that faces the train tracks. Surprisingly you can't hear the trains even though they rain close. If you are a rail fan like me ask for the back. It was a pleasant surprise!"
